So I have a JG p90 and you have to pull the trigger back about an inch to fire it. Does anyone know of any upgrades or mods to help?

The P90 has a metal bar attached to the back of the trigger which pushes the mechanical trigger components together. If you remove the upper you should be able to see the bar move when you pull the trigger. The mechanical trigger components have a small track that they slide on to complete the circuit. If it takes an inch to fire, you should be able to add some material to the front of the mechanical trigger component to take up that slack. For example you could epoxy (not super glue) a small plastic extension to the trigger block.
The problem with adjusting that gap (on any AEG) is the cut off lever reset gap. One of the flaws in the TM style gear box is that the trigger block has to move back quite a bit for semi auto to reset. This results in that long trigger pull. The issue is that while it may take an inch to fire, it may take 3/4 of an inch to reset. That means you can only shim up 1/4". To further complicate things the P90 has a two stage trigger. Shimming up semi auto may cause full auto to jam the contacts too hard.
You will have to either measure the reset distance of your trigger system, or trial and error it. P90's are pretty easy to work on so it shouldn't be that hard to shim up the slack. Just be sure to test every position in both firing modes to make sure it's all working.

I have heard of people using other types of switches in replacement components that come with the average AEG. Most seemed like way more work than needed or benefited. I've heard horror stories of Frankenstein airsoft/paintball guns with E triggers before too. Just thought I'd share what I saw, not saying it's what you want.
