Hey everyone,
My ATP is down until I fix it and I'd love to get another pistol. Obviously "Glocks" are harder to find, but I came across a WE G18c for $100 new. Besides the opinions on the whole legality of the "Glock" issue, has anyone had personal experience with this GBB? Is it good ? Would it fit in a G-code holster or similar ?

Stock outer barrel snaps off past hop up unit. Still functions but it is a common issue.

WEs are pieces of junk. You'd be better off getting a KJW G23.

I don’t know about that line of holster. I had a We G17, and I don’t think it would have been possible to modify any of my Blackhawk holsters enough to make it fit. The gun is much wider than the KSC Glocks which fit with slight modification.

For a while being the key term there. WE Glocks are probably the best thing they put out, but they're still junky when you could have a KJW G23 which will last a long ass time, or for another ~40-50 bucks you could get a KSC which are arguably the best Glocks on the market.
As far as the holster issue, as other have siad the holster would require modificatin, as the WE is thicker than the KJW. Another option would be to custom mold a kydex holster for it.

The SOCOM Gear 1911 is made by WE, and their 1911's are arguably the worst GBB's on the market. I'd rather take a Bell or straight up ACM 1911 before a WE, as those are at least TM compatible. The WE's frame is designed different, and doesn't accept TM magazines or upgrades. And the build quality on them is laughable. As said before, if you're on a budget, look into a KJW. Their finish isn't amazing, but they are reliable and work well, plus they're still very affordable, being only $10 more than WE in some cases. If you're interested in a Glock series pistol, look into a KJW first, or if you have the money, a TM or KSC/KWA.

My cousins WE Glock 18 was horrible. It couldn't shoot anywhere near the same spot twice on full auto. The hop up didn't work at all. The slide was made of pot metal and very flaky cheap paint. And the outer barrel snapped off. The gun was ok when it was working. But WE 1911s seem to be better quality. I say get a kjw Glock 23. This things perform amazing and aren't so stinking thick.

I actually had a Socom Gear "black ops" 1911 (double stack model). Even though it was WE, I had zero problems. Crisp blowback, no broken parts... At all. I am still surprised at how nice it was. Great on gas consumption too. About 2 mags (60 rounds) per fill. I had even dropped it at least 10 times, left it in a mud puddle, it was being rained on, and it functioned as well as a lot of my KWA pistols.
EDIT: It also took TM Hi Capa mags just fine, and I could switch most parts out between my Marui Hi Capa and this. Did you have the single stack Socom Gear 1911 Da Vinci? Because the double stack rocks.

Well it seems like KWA is the only source for great GBBs or atleast from the impression I'm receiving. My ATP is the first and only KWA I've ever owned and broke within a week of use. Bad luck I'm sure, but I wish KWA wasn't the only source available that people praise.
