Hi, I have a Tokyo Marui M4..and a Classic Army short M203...I'm trying to mount the CA and it dosn't seem like it will fit on a TM. There is a flat plate bracket at the base of the upper that holds the barrel in...do TM's take a brand specific M203.....?? fig. 2 is how the barrel is connected.....can I remove the bracket and just thread the screw in the top to hold the barrel to the upper??? NOTE: my TM is a M4...not the s-system TM..but the picture fig: 2 shows how my barrel is connected to the upper...

Your issue is the two piece outer barrel. Regular barrel mount 203's won't fit on them (as you found). I've never owned a two piece barrel before, but juding by the pictures you should be able to swap out your barrel for a one piece. You may need to swap your delta ring if the barrel end is slightly different.

I believe you just remove that top part and the outer barrel cover as well. I don't think that does anything unless it's wired to the front it's supposed to hold the fuse assembly? I know that you don't need them because other TM M4 models I have owned didn't have them, but you will probably need a spacer for the screw (I know that on TM's if you over tighten/thread them inwards, they tend to strip). Do you have a M203 mount assembly or just the M203? I remember having to get an M203 M4 "mount" back when I mounted my CA M203 to my TM M4A1; The two U shaped pieces basically are like a spacer on your barrel (where that weird part is now) and it allows your barrel to become wide enough for the rear of the M203 to fit onto your barrel. the other piece is mounted to your M203 and in front of* your front sight. *God I miss that M4...*
