I'm looking for feedback on everyone's preference; the pros, cons, cost and anything else you'd like to add: i personally have a warrior 6-mag vest and love it, though I've heard quite a few bad things about them... So, what do you prefer, plate carriers, QuickDraw vests, chest rigs, full modular vests - what works for you? My only complaint on the warrior vest is the odd color of the OD, it's almost impossible to match, everyone else has a darker shade (see colors post). However the mag holders are awesome, easy to use and durable. The molle lining is strong, and also quite well done. This makes it quite customizable, and more important to me, versatile to fit every play style I enjoy. Please leave your thoughts and contributions thank you

I think the opinion on the MIA forums is that crossdraws are awful. A chest rig is a good light alternative but I would throw a PACA under it.
I would tell you to look into a flyye 6094, but I don't think your asking for a vest, Just what we think about the types.

If you like what you have, use it until it's broken. Try out other peoples' gear if they'll let you - sometimes it's too much to put on and take off easily, and usually people are paranoid about their stuff, but if you ask around there's sure to be a couple people who'll let you try on a rig.

If you used the search function, you'd have found this thread about crossdraws and why they're heinous. Plate vs chest rig is a less obvious debate and really depends on either individual taste or the impression you're going for. Personally I use a plate carrier in CQB and a MOLLE vest in outdoor games. I wanted a plate carrier because while I don't do impressions, CQB is such a high-lethality environment that anyone who had the choice would wear body armor. In the woods, on the other hand, I wanted something lightweight and with good ventilation.

It also really depends on what role you have. If your running a DMR/reconnaissance role, I would suggest a chest rig and a PACA underneath. If your running an assault/gunner role, I would suggest a some sort of larger to medium sized vest. Like Zorak said, it can also depend on where you are playing. I like to have something with more coverage while playing CQB and something with more breathability during an OP or outdoors REC game. But when it really comes down to it, its essentially all personal preference.

Eh, I never understood the PACA/whatever low pro armor carrier + chest rig combo. Unless it is a split front rig with a zipper like a 1961g, or an h harness or something that allows you to go prone easily the I don't see the point, unless you are trying to have multiple setups in one (eg. concealable armor for separate use, as well as use for direct action). Layering a PACA and a chest rig for a direct action setup where there is no need to spent a lot of time prone, or without the chest rig on at all, doesn't really make any sense. It isn't any lighter weight than a plate carrier, it is hardly ever more low profile, and usually an annoyance dealing with multiple sets of straps that sit on top of one another and slip around.
