Whatever you do, don't cheap out on boots. I made that mistake. I got the $40 desert boots that looked the part just fine, and they're still generally holding together as well as a cheap boot should, but their greatest downfall is their soles. They have compressed on the instep, and are now essentially wedges that force my feet to slope inward at a very aggressive, uncomfortable angle (the instep is about 3/8" thinner than the outstep). I'm looking at replacing them with a set of Danner 8" waterproof boots ( www.danner.com/boots/desert-tfxr-rough-out-gtxr-military-boots.html) A set of good, reliable, boots will probably be your best airsoft purchase ever. Some things to keep in mind as you shop around: Vibram soles are indestructible, and gore-tex is your friend. If you decide to go with hiking boots, I've heard a lot of good buzz about the Merrell Moab (and, lots of actual operators are using them too).

My daily shoes are Merrell hiking boots. They are Continuum model. I've had them for years, just recently they started to have issues and need replacing. They have held up extremely well and are still very comfortable. All this being said, they are still not as tall of a boot as my Bates, but they weigh more than my Bates boots. Both are great boots, and the one thing they certainly have in common is their $$$ price tag. If your not in a hurry to buy a new boot, wait for a sale. Get on L.A. Police Gear's mailing list. They always seem to be having a sale or clearance on some type of boot. I've often seen these expensive boots go for 40 to 50% off. Especially for closeouts.

Like tank, I wear Merrel hiking shoes, also in their Continuum line, daily. They have Vibram soles, and they hold up very well. They dry fast, and slip on and off easily. I only wish I had gotten the boot with shank protection, as they don't, and they aren't good at all for outdoor airsofting. However, their size is much smaller and they are lighter than the previous leather boots I wear outdoors, so I'd imagine they'd work great for indoor play. Most larger shoe stores carry Merrel brand, and they are definitely a good buy.

Here's a few suggestions, and please don't take offense. -Ditch the single knee protector unless you actually need it. -Get yourself a single set of camo. Either buy pants to go with your jacket, or buy a different matching top and bottom. Right now, I wouldn't know which team to put you on if you came to a game I was running. -If you're going to use your shemagh to protect your neck, try to make it look less like you're wearing a scarf. -Don't tuck your BDU top in. It just looks silly that way. -Get a proper tactical belt. -Get some proper boots. If you can't find military boots in your price range, at least find some hiking boots, they'll look more the part. If you're stuck on what camo to get, look at my camouflage guide here. It has pretty much every camo you will ever see on the field and even a few you probably won't. Thanks for all of the suggestions! Boots are for sure on my Christmas list, but right now I only play cqb and I am going to wear these Nike's till they break apart completely. My main concern is the top and the pants. I would like to have a tan setup, since I have a tan pc. What colors / designs would fall into the tan area? I know that some people wear multicam, is this a good idea or should I stick with a more tan digital design? And these fake oaklies that I have are very thin and a re starting to fall apart. What gloves do you recommend?

They use Multicam as one of the patterns to balance sides. It can go either Tan or Green team. Check out Thor's camo guide. I believe he points out what is tan colors. If you are looking for the most modern (but really expensive), I personally like the desert ATACS.

Cheap tan BDU's would be three color desert. Essentially the desert form of woodland.

If you want a decent pair of gloves for cheap, you can't go wrong with a basic pair of nomex flight gloves. You can usually find them for less than 30 bucks and they should hold up for a decent amount of time.

I've been rocking my cheapo $17.00 Mechanix for about a year now, and I even occasionally wear them while I work. They've held up great! I would definitely recommend them if you're on a tight budget.

I will also recommend Mechanix gloves. I have a pair of the Original series that I got off eBay for like, $15. They've held up great through games and also have come in handy for all sorts of work.
