Hi there, MIA! Well, for the last 5 months I have sort of been chairsofting, teching with my guns and such. I have compiled a makeshift loud out, for cqb at local fields like Eastside and Phoenix Tactical. In a few weeks, Ill be going to play very often, and I am super itchy to start up again! I would appreciate any suggestions of minor adjustments. I don't really want to go out and buy another brand name plate carrier, or a full new set of clothes, as I am focusing on upgrading my guns currently! Here is what I got: ~Cheap camo jacket (too long) ~China tan plate carrier ~Shemagh (my neck get stung) ~Full face mask with a cap ~Right knee protector (not airsoft obviously) ~Tanish pants ~Dirty old Nike high tops ~Fakely gloves Well, it is a lot better than last year, I was rockin the cross draw! Sorry for the pics! Mostly, I want to figure out what jacket / undershirt and pants to get?

I'd say you need BDUs first. I'd recomend m81 Woodland. It works good and is inexpensive. You can usually pick up a full uniform(that fits better) for under 20$. This is a used uniform, but real. Then I'd say get some boots. They not only look better, but more importantly keep water out. You've got a good start. I say look for deals on surplus stores or ebay.

Try going the PMC route, ditch the camo top and got a plain black one.

Your plate carrier seems fire for now, you might want to get a hydration pouch or MAP in the future, though. As Hound said, some cheap BDU's and boots couldn't hurt, either. You might also want to tie your shemagh in a less "scarf" manner.

Learning how to wear a Shemagh was also the suggestion I was going to make. It's a free improvement you can make to your loadout. This video shows the way that you will likely find most useful.

Top to bottom: Helmet (or hat whatever you prefer) Your mask is fine. Maybe think about some goggles instead (areana flakjaks, ESS nvg's etc.) Your plate carrier is fine I ran the same one for a few seasons. Definately a hydro carrier or MAP they're useful. M81 blouse or black shirt. M81 trousers or tan/OD/black cargo pants. Whatever knee pads if you want them, you can find cheap surplus ones. Definately some boots. Shank support is essential, don't want to roll your ankle. Overall not bad, we all have to start someplace.

Actually, since he has a full face mask, he doesn't need to ninjawrap his shemagh. He does need some better leg and foot wear though.

I took a look at m81, and Its pretty much the same as I have. I am leaning to a more modern type of camo, like digital, I am not sure of the name. Woodland just doesn't fit me very well. Thanks for the suggestion on the shemagh. Also, what boots should I be taking a look at? thanks!

It is for wearing it around your neck, like the OP was trying to do just not tactfully. Also, what boots should I be taking a look at? thanks! My personal preference is boots made by Bates. Mine are the GX-8. They are side zip and are Gore-Tex. I've stood in water 6" deep with no water intrusion. They are also very lite weight and have a very aggressive tread.

Well, digital woodland would be called AOR2 or MARPAT, digital desert is AOR1 or Arid MARPAT, and that greenish tan digital yucky camo is ACU. ATACS and Multicam are much "newer" camouflages, if that's what you're looking for, but with that comes a heftier price tag. As for boots, the rule of thumb is you really don't want to cheap out. Merrel, Oakley, Bates, there are tons of great boots out there, a lot are over $100, though. You can get issued ones on eBay anywhere from $30-80 though. I have a pair of black leather boots that my dad's SEAL friend gave him, they're a size too big and are pretty clunky, so I'm in need of new boots, as well.

Erm, AOR1 and AOR2 =/= MARPAT, Da Vinci.

I've seen comparisons before, and you can definitely see a significant difference. Would look pretty funky if he was rocking a MARPAT top and AOR2 bottoms.

Here's a few suggestions, and please don't take offense. -Ditch the single knee protector unless you actually need it. -Get yourself a single set of camo. Either buy pants to go with your jacket, or buy a different matching top and bottom. Right now, I wouldn't know which team to put you on if you came to a game I was running. -If you're going to use your shemagh to protect your neck, try to make it look less like you're wearing a scarf. -Don't tuck your BDU top in. It just looks silly that way. -Get a proper tactical belt. -Get some proper boots. If you can't find military boots in your price range, at least find some hiking boots, they'll look more the part. If you're stuck on what camo to get, look at my camouflage guide here. It has pretty much every camo you will ever see on the field and even a few you probably won't.
