Alright, another (possibly) noob question. Im planning on getting the G&P WOC M4, but i was wondering how the range/accuracy is with it and what upgrades i could do to increase one or both of these. Also, does the barrel length effect the range and accuracy? And i get the WOC is a Western Arms System, but i would just like to know what possible range and accuracy i can expect out of box.

It sounds to me like you need to do some more research on what you're planning to buy. Range is a product of how much FPS your rifle is putting out combined with how well your hop-up unit is functioning. A gun firing 400 FPS with a decent hop-up should fire about the same distance as any other gun firing 400 FPS with a decent hop-up. Lots of other factors contribute to accuracy. The bottom line is that airsoft guns can be tuned to provide excellent accuracy. Some are easier to tune than others, some make better platforms than others. Here's a huge, on-going review thread on the G&P M4A1 GBBR family. www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/159611-gp-gbb-m4a1-family/You have to be a member of Arnie's Airsoft to access, but if you're not a member you should really sign up. Arnie's is the place for airsoft on the internet.

Range is a product of how much FPS your rifle is putting out combined with how well your hop-up unit is functioning. I disagree. While I see what you're getting at, I believe that all factors that affect your constancy is what makes your effective range. Your hop up, barrel, force applied to BB, and BBs all make up what your rifle's potential effective range will be. Consistency before accuracy and if you're not consistent enough to aim and hit a person at, let's say 100 yards, then your effective range is less than 100 yards. Now, that doesn't mean you can't throw BBs that far. It just means you won't be able to hit any target at that range. But back to answering the question, have you tried looking up reviews of this rifle on a google search or youtube? I find that there are always numbers of people wanting to publish their reviews of any item they have. Take their input with a grain of salt but, it will at least give you a start.

For future notes, be wary of YouTube as it seems that most of the people on there do not know what the hell they are talking about. Of course, you will find SOME people who do, but I see so many kids who post "reviews" on a gun and don't put any information into it that is actually helpful. They just say what is plastic and what is metal which is annoying if that is all they talk about. On another note, Google is your friend .
