I am wondering about the quality of KA GBBRs in general, and about the specific quality of this gun. I've poked around online, and I've seen mixed reviews, some say the hopup always fails, and other say the magazines always leak, while others say it's a great gun.
If anyone here has a KA GBBR, or better yet, their M4 model, your feedback would be greatly appreciated!

King Arms I believe is what he means, and I've never seen anyone say anything too good about them.

I can't really say, never owned one. Many gbbrs are going to be hit or miss though and like they say "you get what you pay for in airsoft." Well, the respective versions of each KA (Colt or Magpul) are close to or more than $100 cheaper than the respective versions of the KWA LM4.

They are ok as an introductory gbbr. You will eventually have to replace all the internals and when you do it you have to make sure they are all aluminum internals. The mags just suck. I have 8 of them and 5 of them had to be rebuilt after 3 or 4 uses.

@greatgambino $350 for the gun is my budget right now, so that's what I'll have to stay at until I get more cash flow. Although I will keep in mind your suggestion when I DO get to upgrade. echo5 What internals do you suggest to replace the broken parts with when they break?

I know a lot of people really like the KWA, so I mean, I understand where you're coming from, but if you want a gun that's proven and backed by many members of the community, I'd save up for the LM4, but that's just my two cents.

You know, on a whim, I looked up the the LM4, and realized it's only $380 on AirsoftMegastore. I will push that extra 30 for a more reliable gun any day. Although it says to not use propane with this gun, or is that just horseshit and I'll be fine as long as I remember to lube up the canister every so often?

They have always said not to use propane on their GBB pistols, and I have always used it on mine, with no issues. I would just make sure you lube it often, and don't worry about it.

Get the KWA LM4 and use a coupon code and it should be in your budget.

Also, Evike doesn't have it listed, but the code VGHS still takes off 20%, I used it yesterday so I have proof it still works.

I bought my upgrades through airsoftglobal.com through their gass pdw section. I bought an aluminum air nozzle made by iron airsoft. It's a cnc machined all aluminum nozzle, I hand sanded the stock aluminum bolt to make the bolt slide smoother. It doesn't take much. I then used G&P and king arms parts from the same site for my hammer , sear, and bolt catch. They are all aluminum parts and are very durable. I pulled out the stock recoil spring set, and replaced it with the Angry Gun 300% recoil set. It comes with and adjustable rate of fire buffer tube bolt recoil spring head. It gives it such a great feel and recoil. I don't use normal silicon gun oil either. I use ICS silicon spray oil because it's much thicker and has a high viscosity. I hope my 2cents help.

Probably a biased opinion but since buying my kwa lm4 I probably won't ever go any othe direction.
I used green gas on the mags when I first got them to get the initial burst of silicone oil but since I have used propain. Kwa just voids the warranty if you say you ever use propane.
But I haven't had any issues and have put maybe 300 rounds through my mags. That might not be allot but if you think about the fact they only holds 40 ish rounds (I never run that many) thats quite a few on propane.
I think so far from every thing I have found the kwa is the best buy for the money and once they do start making aftermarket stuff it's probably only going to be bodies and other simple stuff because the base platform is so flawless (in my opinion) out of the box.
