Let me thank Canto for setting up this event.
SABR had a great time and will look forward to trying the field when it is dry sometime.
From my stand point of Tan CO, let me say that my team was amazing. Green kept pressure on my guys and gals but we managed to capture all but one objective. Extra thanks to the ODA guys for the early push as well as the other small teams.
I met a lot of new teams to me and will run with them anytime.
The rain hampered the end of the first half and a lot of teams went home at lunch which I could not blame them.
It was a blast!

I, too, had an amazing time, especially since this was my first scenario game. I had a great time working with other members of the Tan team, too. I would not hesitate to play in more scenarios with these guys. And if anybody is missing a radio, PM me because I forgot to return it to someone. Can't remember what brand it is since my gun bag isn't at my house right now.

It was my first time at hole in the wall, and where do I begin? We all know that the weather really dampend the day (possible pun intended), but other than that it seems like a fairly well planned event by canto. During the first half there seemed to be a few hit calling problems on both teams and some camo identification failures between green team members. Other than some small "issues" I would love to come back to the hole in the wall field another time with some less water! One last word I honestly can't blame people for leaving early since my brother and I were one of the groups of people to leave, but my overall experience was a decent one.
Props to Canto for organizing the event with inclement weather, and props to wraith for being a well organized CO for the green team!
4/5 stars for the event.

Besides getting stuck in a sinkhole 3 times(thanks to all who pulled me out!) It was pretty fun. It was also my first time at hole in the wall and the layout was very well set up. At times it seemed there was some bad communication with the objectives and small things of that nature but it was a well planned game.(GO TAN TEAM!) Thanks for the Great time hope to see you all out there again sometime(Hopefully when it is dry).

As green team CO I just have to give props to all of my players, we were outnumbered, and we still put up and excellent fight. I also want to thank Dingo for all he did.
I have to admit, as CO, I was frustrated with the first 3 objectives. The first one was set at J11 in the south corner, an area that is always nearly impossible for the green team to reach unless they have a big number or skill advantage, and we had neither. It just sucked sending our guys in knowing that they wouldn't make it.
The second objective was in the same area, but just a bit closer to the village, so again, nearly impossible with our forces.
Now, objective 3 was located at G8 I believe, and before my map succumbed to the rain, I saw it was in the airball field, an area normally off-limits during normal play. I had some communication issues with the moderators, and as a result, objective 3 was never properly communicated to the team.
Apart form the issues with the aforementioned objectives and some hit-calling, we had no trouble keeping a strong defensive line, and kept up a solid assault on the city all of the first half.
Unfortunately my security element and I had to leave during lunch, though overall we had a good but soggy time.
Oh, and BIG PROPS to the squad that infiltrated behind enemy lines and caused general mayhem, nice job guys!

I had. So much fun. For anyone interested, the R-Hop mod works.
Edit: I loved playing in the rain, I had fallen completely into the role and I wish I had some camo facepaint to rambo that shit up.

I had blast despite the rain and being severely out-gunned with my stock G&G. ;D
Ghast: I did a few quick searches on the R-hop mod and would like to know more. What are some of the resources that you have used that have proved most useful? I am quite interested in implementing this mod when I upgrade my gun.

Tears of the Sun anyone? I agree with Ghast, playing in the rain is awesome.
Great game with great people as always. Great to see Dingo and the gang and also it was great to see Canto. Hopefully there won't be as much of a break this time until the next airsoft event I can attend.

Has a BLAST playing at Hole in the Wall on Saturday. The rain was fun until I couldn't see more than 15ft and ended up fragging a teammate in enemy territory. The objectives had some interesting placement from the TAN side of things. The 4-man case in the middle of the field below the hill that GREEN was spawning from was nearly impossible to collect from where I was playing. I agree with the GREEN CO that the J11 objective for his team was also pretty far-fetched as far as completion. I did enjoy how organized squads were on TAN and how much of a resistance GREEN put up! Red Fox said she had a blast and will be coming out to the next game she can make! +1 for Canto for another AWESOME event and keep up the on-site shop. It's great to be able to grab a tube of bbs at the game so I can run out there and start fraggin

Thanks to everyone that braved the cold, windy, and extremely wet weather to attend Operation: Firestorm II this year. Props to all the players, that despite the inclement weather still managed to get in some huge firefights and amazing maneuvers. I have also never been more sick of rain and being outside during it, in my life. Bangor caught rain from Thursday through Sunday. I'm sure everyone else got their fill of it to... I would like to thank Koko and Ghast from the Hellfish for giving me some much needed assistance during the day. A Special thanks goes out to Hole In The Wall Paintball and Team FLAK for all their help with this event. As Infantry said above tan team (2nd Infantry Division) conquered the objectives for the day. Green team put up and extremely valiant and sustained fight for the duration of the day though. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Personally, I feel this event was a huge let down both for myself and the players that attended. Objective wise, I had originally planned for much higher and more balanced team numbers. Bangor generally plays like a meat grinder, with the more knowledgeable and skilled players out maneuvering and chewing through more inexperienced players. The incessant rain wiped out almost all of my original planned objectives as well as completely renders field maps and anything on paper useless. We also lost a ton of players (last minute drops and I assume the rain) that were expected to show up. The final tally of players I counted was 84 (counting a few that showed up late). There were some complaints about players not calling their hits... This is always unfortunate to hear and it really bothers me every time I do. I would like to apologize to any of the players that fell victim to unsportsmanlike conduct at this event. I'll do what I can and see that it's not as rampant next time. I'm glad to see that everyone had a great time playing despite the weather and other factors. I also saw a lot of new faces and a lot of old ones. It was great to see everyone again and I hope it's not too long before we all can again.

I suppose I'll put in my two cents. Obviously the rain kinda wreaked the Op for the most part. And I think that it was a main contributing factor in the hit calling problems. Personally, aside from my comm equipment failing because of the rain, I had a decent time the first half of the day. Green's downfall was not capturing the main village right at the beginning. But after that, we did a great job holding our ground, and I believe we did finally capture the village right before lunch.
The second half was WAY more fun. Those who left missed out. Being on the team with the armbands was a blast. We did great the first game, and fought hard the second, but the defenders held deadwood very well!
Timm, Marshy, and Gimp, it was great hanging out for Chinese! Looking forward to seeing y'all again. Kaboose, Jess, and the other Eggheads- as always great to see you guys. Hopefully Ill see ya down there in April! SK- also good to see you guys! We definitely need to get some more playing time in one of these days!
Canto, FLAK, and gang- thanks for having us! It was a lot of fun, even though it wasn't what we were hoping. You guys did great!
