Lets start a petition to John to make sure it stays in Michigan. While I'm in full support of this, I think the biggest factor is going to be the ability to sign a badass AO for the op. if he can't sign the Kmart (or whatever it is) corporate building, or resign the steel mill, it might not be a bad idea to suggest some alternative locations. Does anyone know anything about what's going on with Somerset Mall in Pontiac? It's been abandoned for a long time and might make for a sweet AO to reel John Lu back to MI. Screw those CT guys...

Wait what's the former name of the mall Sniper Wolf in Pontiac? The Somerset Collection/Mall is in Troy.
EDIT: It was called Summit Place Mall, located in Waterford.

Also just a heads up, the city of Northville has purchased the former womens prison from the state and they are looking for options on what to do with it.
Chances are, it will get demolished.

Someone who knows what they are doing should ask for permission to do some ops there.

That would be bad ass! Or potentially just another CQB game, hard to say.

Someone who knows what they are doing should ask for permission to do some ops there. Already did and was denied but I figured that an organization as large as Lion Claws might have a better chance.

That would be fantastic! If anyone could do it at all, ever, it'd be John Lu.

The latest Lion Claws newsletter was just sent out, and it didn't have any new info on NL IV, so I decided to check their event schedule, and they have it listed as "Aug 30 - Sep 1 2013 Trenton, MI" (source) www.oplionclaws.com/northernlight/index.phpI don't know if I would be holding my breath, though, considering how many times the information has changed so far.

I don't know if I would be holding my breath, though, considering how many times the information has changed so far. That combined with the fact that they are notorious for copy / paste errors. So even if there was newer information available when that was published, you can't assume that it actually got listed. I completely lost count on how many discrepancies I found in their various locations that they had their rules listed. Honestly, I think a large part of the problem that we witnessed with their rules changing mid game constantly, and people not knowing the correct rules, was all related to the lack of consistent rules. I truly believe they need to hire someone to just simply make sure all listings of rules for a game are consistent. It would go a long way.

Drove by the mill yesterday. From what I can tell from the road it is still intact from where it was this summer. The "water treatment" plant on the river, large silos and the "airfield" building are still there. Could not see the bath house complex.

Great Recon Kurt. I missed this game last year. I would like to attend this year if they have it here.

I'm sure MIA's resident pilot Yankee won't mind doing another aerial recon mission closer to the game, if it ends up happening again at the steel mill, so we'll know exactly what's there compared to earlier this year.
I'm not holding my breath either, but I'd rather see it say Trenton, Mi Aug 30-Sep 1st rather than somewhere out of state.
