So I'm just getting into the hobby and due to the startup costs, I've only got the basics. Weapon. Mags. BBs. Goggles. Boots. Helmet.
I dont really have the capital to invest in much more gear till next month. I've got a green army jacket that I won from Playstation... themed with 'Resistance Fall of Man' so I could bring that for this.
So my question is, what would be appropriate for me to wear to this event before I get the rest of my gear?
If I come, it's going to probably be with one or two friends from here who I think might only be able to rock green right now.
Give me some ideas as this will be my first event I've ever attended.

You are just fine wearing whatever you've got. Usually at any of the "REC"games there is no requirements for camouflage and no rules against using mid-caps.
However, teams are split by camouflage. Usually what happens is anyone wearing civi will be placed on whatever side needs people.
I'm glad too hear you are going to be attending an SK hosted game at no limits! It was the the first place I went to for an organized "big game" as we called it.. The place is a whole lot of fun and will help you put some faces to the usernames you see here on MiA. Have fun Yo Yo!

No rules against Mid-Caps? For the more hard core and Milsim games, do they require only low caps? I'm really excited.  |

For Rec games in general there usually aren't any ammo restrictions what-so-ever. For MILSIM or SCENARIO games in general, high capacity magazines are either completely not allowed, or restricted to the use of one. Mid capacity and low capacity magazines are not restricted. But to answer your question no MILSIM game can require only low cap (30rd) magazines because there's no visible way to tell the difference between a low cap and a mid cap, like you can tell the difference between a high cap and a mid or low cap magazine. |

Also, I'm trying to put together a collection to pay for the items damaged at the last event. The owners kept insisting that we weren't responsible for it, but I fell it would be a great gesture on our part, if we chipped in and help to if not completely cover the costs of repairs. If everyone attending threw in a few bucks, we could more than cover the cost of repairs. Provided I am still able to go when the time comes (you never know with work) I will definitely throw in a few bucks to help out man. |
