I am looking to purchase the Snow Wolf SW99-02 (Barrett M82A1/M107) and was wondering if it would be allowed in any games, seeing as how it has a fully automatic feature (only really to be used to unlock the gearbox if it gets locked up from pulling the trigger too fast in semi) and most fields don't allow this feature on sniper rifles or even DMRs. Would this gun be fine if I were to put a block so it can't move to fully auto or if it would even be fine to just leave this feature on as long as it isn't used?

I've owned one of those in the past. They don't shoot over 400 fps. Any site that states otherwise is straight up lying to you.
They typically go around 370-390 which puts you safely below the semi only restriction.
If you do any work on it though that puts it over 400 fps then you will have to disable full auto if you want it to be field legal.

Thank you, I will be doing work on it, so would just fitting a piece of plastic near the fire selector switch to block the switch from being able to turn to the full auto position be suitable? This may be different at other fields, but would you recommend that or just disabling the feature all together?

You're kind of running into a little bit of a grey area there.
If you are going to disable the full auto capabilities, you are better off disabling it internally instead of adding that plastic thing you described.
Another option is to talk to the organizer. Depending on how much over 400 it shoots, they may just let you use it under the honor system that you wouldn't use full auto with it.
I've been to games where they were cool with it and I've been to games where they didn't allow it. It's up to the organizers discretion.
In realistic terms though, a barrett shouldn't be shooting full auto let alone be able to carry 200+ rounds in one mag.

M.S.-ARC is right though, a Barrett Sniper Rifle shouldn't have those properties. I would think that if you want to disable it, it would be more beneficial in the long run because you will be in the "okay" area no matter what game you go to (except for CQB, obviously; haha). Of course, it is up to the weapon holder as to what they really want to do with the weapon that they own.

Thank you for your insight!
I agree completely with you about the fully automatic feature, I was just going to use this in case I ever fired too fast in semi and it locked up, if that was ever needed.
Did you ever have any major problems with this gun?
