I am in the market for a multicam plate carrier and I am tied between a 6094a and an APC. Right now I own a repro AOR1 6094 so I know what 6094's are like. I really like the look of APC's but I have never tried one on. So what I am wondering is how nice are APC's compared to 6094's?
I am 5'8" 180lbs and I know I would wear a 6094a version but what size carrier and cummerbund would I need for the APC?
Also, price isn't TOO much of an issue but $220 compared to $330 is a lot better to me because then I can buy pouches with the PC instead of having to wait, and you know how it is now with with money these days.

Looks are basically the same since the APC is based on the design of the 6094. Considering the price of the APC I think it's a better deal than the 6094 but it does lack some features, that said, I have an APC and I like it. It doesn't have the radio pockets in the cummerbund, IMO the shoulder pads suck because they are wide and tend to chaff on the neck (a lot of other people agree on this but they can be replaced), it doesn't have the com/hydro routing loops, and the kangaroo pouch is kinda tight. Also, the furthest back channel of molle on the cummerbund is actually only a half row and is not usable. I tend to state the facts in a brutally honest way so don't let it deter you, nearly all of the issues can be worked around, it's just that the 6094 doesn't have any of the issues I listed to begin with.
As far as size you can probably go with a S/M carrier with a medium cummerbund.
