I had a question, what exactly is a combat machine m4?

They're a budget line of a AEG's produced by G&G, utilizing the same internals as the pro-line, The CM's have a plastic body and lack tightbore barrels.

I have been looking more and more into getting one of these g&g combat machine m4's because they look like they are a bit more in my price rabge, but I had a few questions:
First, as I want to go for realism, is their aeg blowback model decent out of the box? Would I have to do any immediate mods to it before I could take it to a game? Would it be worth it to get this model or just a NBB model by them and save up some money for a different BB?
Second, if I did have to do any mods to it right out of the box, which ones would you suggest? Are the combat machines, or any aegs for that matter, wired to deans straight out of the box?
I have looked at other threads in terms of upgrades but these few questions would really help me decide in what to get. As I stated, I definitely want a blowback and this seems to be, well close to my price range.

Rabbit,
G&G's full metal line comes with a 6.04mm tightbore. Their Combat Machine line does not.
Lurks,
No blow back model is anything close to realistic. It's a piece of tin clinking back and forth as you shoot. It's a gimmick that gets stale after about 5 minutes. Just skip it. This goes for all blow black AEGs.
The only AEG brand that's wired to dean out of the box is G&P, so the CM won't be. It's not really necessary unless you're trying to squeeze as much performance out of your gun as possible. In all practical terms, on the field, you're unlikely to notice the difference between the connectors in a stock gun. The only thing you really ought to upgrade out of the box is the barrel. The stock G&G CM barrel is meh. Replace it with a nice tightbore and you should be all set.

It is one of the most suggested starter AEG's, so I would say yes.

Yeah, definitely a great AEG to start out with. Fairly reliable, good price, and good on field performance for the price. Throw in another $40ish for a nice barrel and you have a nice competitive gun.

Ok guys, thanks a lot for all of your input, you have really helped me with my decision in which gun to get. Now to post up my sales thread, sell some stuff, and get the gun. I hope to see you guys out on the field soon!

G&G's full metal line comes with a 6.04mm tightbore. Their Combat Machine line does not. Mine was a combat machine and it said on the Box it had a 6.04 tightbore pre- installed. Then again. I wouldn't put it past any airsoft manufacturer to make false claims about a gun as a selling point.

Mine doesn't make any such claim. Purchased late 2010, model EGR-16CP-D-BB

Both of the combat machines I have owned had the 6.04 TBB in them, they shot like laser beams. You won't be disappointed with one if that's the replica you choose.

Ok combat junkie, this is definitely the replica I will get when I get the cash together, you guys definitely seem to know your guns. And guys maybe it's the older models that don't have them. Maybe the newer models do, do you think that's possible? I may not know much about airsoft but i do know that that's how some companies do things.
