An absolutely great day. The weather was perfect, the action was great, and the crowd was incredible (as always). My favorite thing about coming out to games is hanging out with all the people that make airsoft great (then shooting them). I hate hearing about the cocks who destroy the field. As ARC pointed out, those types will ruin it for the rest of us -- all it takes is a little negative publicity, and the awesome community we've built will be SOL.
Overall, the game was great. I've never heard fewer people complain about hit calling. Goggles didn't seem to be an issue either. I think this speaks volumes to the people playing. Go ahead everyone, give yourselves a pat on the back.
My only criticisms are as follows: it felt like there was too much downtime between games (which is partly remedied by playing multiple games back to back, so kudos for that!), and the hostage game felt like it didn't really work. I think that better communication would benefit these games greatly. Better communication amongst refs, between refs and players, and between subsets of players. Players will always benefit from communication with each other -- knowledge is power and whatnot. The general air among players during the hostage game seemed to be slight confusion -- in part, this is a function of the players: during briefings, it seemed like quite a few people weren't really paying much attention (loading mags et al.), and no one spoke up when Pagan asked, "Does everyone understand? Does anyone have any questions?" I also think the castle isn't necessarily the best locale for that type of game. When refs can communicate with each other (ahead of time, and during the game), they will be able to direct players more effectively, and answer any questions that might arise on the field.
Keep up the good work, Suicide Kings. I look forward to the next game.

I've been moving 14 foot base board and base shoe all week in an Accord. Surely somebody with fold down seats can drive one 16 foot beam it the three miles from the Home Depot on Eureka to the field. Also, this thing is going in the ground, so if we do buy it, it needs to be treated. Only problem is Deb said they were 18 foot, which would be a special order item. Most home depot and lowes stores don't carry anything longer than 12 foot in 4x6 and 6x6. May be able to get a 16 foot 4x4, but 4x6 will be special order. Mans Lumber in downtown Trenton may have longer 4x6's. To install it, you will need at least 3 bags of cement and a lot of work with a post hole digger. Ah, from what I gathered from Tank and Pagan's posts, it sounded like they could be special ordered from Home Depot or Lowes. If that's the case, transporting them shouldn't be too tough. Digging the hole will be a bitch, but a little concrete work shouldn't be a problem. My guess is they have or have access to equipment that can handle the digging. However, if deetrain and his buddies are taking responsibility for the damage, it'll be an even greater gesture if they make good, supply the materials, and apologize.

Just asked my dad what would be needed.
Post hole digger's, cement, level, PERMIT, weel barrel, Are the main things you will need.
The permit part, is so some one doesn't get a ticket. Some one at my dad's work didnt get one, now he owes $1,400 to Detroit now, not happy about it.

You don't need a permit for a repair.

Transporting a 4x6x18 isn't easy. Wet it is going to weigh about 65-80 pounds. Home Depot also often has minimum orders on oversize lumber. You may have to purchase 6 or a whole lift to get it. The Livonia HD stocks 4x6x16 if they will work, I'm not exactly sure what was being supported with them.

I felt that it was a good day and that there wasnt anyone not really calling there hits, at least for me. i try to be generous with my hits and call out if i think that it was a bb that hit me.
and btw i thought the zombi game was ok but what needed to be changed was: 1: there was to much strain on the zombies to get the humans/ increase zombies to humans ratio. 2: have a strict ammo limit. 3 shotgun shells 2 pistol mags no lose bbs, ect. 3:have everyone playing the game. theres no reason to play the game if everyone is not going to play.

Just a heads up, I had a tan and brown canopy put up near the back of the parking lot near that big open field. I'm not sure it's the one she's talking about but I don't want people confusing my brother and I with the problem players. There was a Jeep parked near us earlier in the day but I don't know if that was the one in question. Pagan, if you need help fixing it let me know. I can chip in a few bucks for materials, donate some tools for the day, or if no one else can pick up the wood I'm sure I can cram it into/on my truck. I've seen some pretty stupid shit at airsoft games but that takes the prize. Parents need to start hitting their children again. My brother and I had a great time. I liked the laid back atmosphere, the chance to shoot the shit with people then actually shoot them, and the good sportsmanship. Registration was quick and painless which is always nice. I also liked the setup where we would play 2-3 games and then head back to the safe zone and take a break. I felt that was a good pace for a REC game and gave me a chance to cool off. The Civil War game was freaking awesome. I was picked off at maybe the 3rd step in with a shot to the wedding vegetables. I would play that game at least 3 or 4 more times a day. However, I did see some of the Northerners aiming . Thanks Suicide Kings for hosting a really fun REC game that was a great laid back day of shooting. Keep hosting em, and I'll keep showing up.

Had a great time as usual. I thought the hostage game was pretty good. We were able to get two of three hostages back to the pavillion, right? Those reverse 300 games or whatever you call them, I didn't really enjoy those. But it was nice to try something different. One thing that bothered me was the people who won't shut the hell up during the briefings. It was difficult to understand the information unless you were right in front of the person talking. All and all a fun day. I have to say I am glad I left before the zombie and civil war games started. What is it with you youngsters and those type of games?

All and all a fun day. I have to say I am glad I left before the zombie and civil war games started. What is it with you youngsters and those type of games? I was surprised the Civil War game went over as well as it did. If nothing else it was funny as hell to watch. As far as the zombie game, a group wanted to play, so we let them go into their own area and do their own thing. I can't say I'm a fan of zombie games, and even less of one outdoors. On another note, I'm going to post part of my response about the incident that happened after everyone else left. Your friends, whether they think its fair or not have burned the bridge of playing at no limits anymore.
I know you weren't in the vehicle that was involved in the incident, but they were your guests. If your friends or yourself are willing to apologize and replace the pole, I'm willing to allow you to still attend our events at No Limits. Having the opportunity to play at No Limits is something I am not about to sacrifice because of players who are unable to act like mature and responsible adults.
I hope you understand this is not a personal attack on you. The owners of No Limits are nice enough to give us access to a field where we get to play our sport. We need to show them the courtesy and respect they have earned by being polite and gracious hosts. If people can't behave properly, they don't deserve the right to use the field with people who do. Since you took ownership of the issue, which I assume is because they were your guests, I am allowing you the opportunity to still play at the field.
The reason I'm posting this for everyone to see, is it really pertains to any issues that happen at the field. Issues of people leaving their trash behind in the parking lot, shooting other players cars, ignoring safety rules, and playing with a shit attitude and screaming about calling hits. We have an opportunity to play on a cool field, and pretty much have free reign over the field while we are there. The owners go out of their way to order in pizza, stock cold water, and for the most part leave us alone to do our own thing. All it takes are the actions of a few immature people and all of this can end.

I had a great time for my first event at No Limits.
I liked the field and the owners made us feel at home. It is a shame that airsofters would act like they did.
Overall it was great seeing everyone again and slinging plastic. P.S. Gunny my ass still hurts from that burst from the weeds.

Put me on the list of people willing to help. These are the closest REC games to my area that I can actually attend, and I really love the atmosphere of being around the Suicide Kings and the rest of you who showed up. Things I can help with: Manual labor and money. I like the idea of starting a pool of cash to get this repaired as quickly as possible.
