To whomever was using a Polarstar, stop intentionally aiming for the face. Twice I got shot in the face by you when my center of mass was clearly a better alternative to shoot. Please show some common courtesy next time. Outside of that, I had a pretty good time. Got to do some amphibious assaults and such. miles: I saw a few people running non-full seal's.

Are full-seal's required at your field? They were strongly encouraged.
And from now on full seal is required. I was mistaken. They have always been Required. Some people might have been changing eye protection in game. Referees will now be removing players doing this.

I had a pretty good time at steam day. Downtimes were a little long though, I think having quicker turnaround and allowing players who aren't ready to come onto the field later is a better option than having everyone sit around and bake in the sun while somebody fools around. One time my group, Fox Squad, went out five minutes after the first five minute warning and ended up sitting on top of the church for a good twenty minutes. And with as little score-keeping as was done - both games I played seemed like stalemates, even with limited respawns - it seems like it could have just been a constant game with respawns on the quarter hour or something.
On the other hand, it'd be wonderful to have some picnic tables in the parking area. If space allows next time I'll be bringing a folding table, working out of the back of a hatchback isn't great. I understand that it's not really ATS's property, so not sure what kind of hardware can really be brought in.
Buggy played well. It wasn't too powerful, certainly not a killing machine, but kept us trapped in the reeds for awhile. It does require some teamwork to take out; unfortunately our comms were often bogged down by a group of kids calling each other by first name and repeatedly asking where someone was when he clearly was out of range or off the net.
Not sure what happened with the mortars - heard the whistling, but was way across the field on a stealth mission by then. I'm realizing that I'm going to need a GoPro at future games.

Note taken. Games and scheduling are a work in progress. We appreciate your input.
Thank you for attending At Steam Day.

Are full-seal's required at your field? They were strongly encouraged. And from now on full seal is required. Please be sure that full seal goggles are required from now on. We only really enforce two rules for posting events here. You have to have legal access to the property and all players must wear full seal goggles. If you're allowing people on with shooting glasses, you can't post your games here. And I'd hate to see that.

I echo what Knief said, enforce your rules, please. Also, with P* users, did you guys rechrono on the field? Did the have tourney locks? I highly suggest you guys rechrono P* users in the field.

All, from our very FIRST event, this was the rule (#4) posted, and SHOULD have been enforced.. TankLeader, who is very knowledgable on Michigan Airsoft Rules and Regs, signed off on these, even printing and laminating them, and bringing them to the field, I will apologize now for any misconceptions..
FROM OFFICIAL ATS LENOX FIELD RULES (Written in July):
4. Eye protection must be worn at all times unless the player is within the safe zone/staging area. Eye protection must be [glow=red,2,300]FULL SEAL[/glow], TIGHT FITTING and A.N.S.I. APPROVED-MESH OK. All players under the age of 18 must wear full face protection, Ex. Full seal goggles with an Iron Face.

I want to thank Carnage and Ninja for coming out to the field with me. It was raining until 11(?)AM, but quickly cleared up. We were on the HOG's side, so we had a "Tank", Mini-gun, mortar, and the anti-tank weapon.. We kinda had the upper hand. haha The other side had a family of P*s, but they seemed to have cheated by ramping up the FPS on their guns after chrono because people were bleeding and getting teeth shot out from long distance. They also shot Carnage in the lip, even though they could of shot the body (like they were told to), and Carnage called hit and kindly asked to not shoot in the face. They responded by shooting him in the back while walking back and announcing he was dead. That's poor sportsmanship... though I suspect it was the 8 year old kid with the P*. ^That was probably the only bad part of the day. Carnage, a HOG member, and I were crossing the creek (of course boots would have been A LOT better haha), then Carnage and I split from him while he distracts them so we can walk in the creek to surprise the enemy. Right as we went under and over downed trees in the way, and saw an enemy player, the game was over. The third game was the longest.. at about 2-3 hours. we had the "air field" (not there anymore) side and we were doing great until we got an order over the radio to retreat. We rushed back, made defense teams to wait for the enemy, and after 30 or so minutes, we moved up realizing the other side made a defense as well. Then the fighting occurred mostly near the bridge and air field. Fort HOG. The quality is a bit less than hoped due to the fact that I had to take the finished 80GB video from After Effects, and compress it into 300MB. The mini-cam is glitchy for some reason even though it was working fine that day..

I think everyone learned a lesson on the use of Polar Stars, anyway re-chrono is definetly in order. This wasn't my first encounter with them, and the last place where I played at, they were banned after the first time that they were used.

Please show some common courtesy next time. I absolutely HATE polarstars because of guys like that. I know that those guns can be tuned to shoot like a laserbeam so if different people are getting shot in the face with them, its likely intentional. I wasn't there but I saw the photos and I can almost guarantee that I know who did (does) that.
