I have been working with a CA AR10 as my DMR. Like it so far. Prommy barrel sealed hop up. Comes with a Bore up kit stock. I hate that I can't find Mid caps for it.

How do you experience bbs bouncing in the barrel? Do you mean to say you observed reduced accuracy? You shouldn't state opinion or conjecture as fact since someone else will read it and incorrectly assume you know what you're talking about. Its the same as if someone were to start bashing a retailer without ever actually ever purchasing anything from them. Sent from my DROID RAZR using ProBoards

Sent from my DROID RAZR using ProBoards Except I literally just said that was my experience, or in your example purchasing something from a retailer and having an issue. Quite literally the opposite of opinion or conjecture. Adjusting factors like the hop-up produce different results, for example testing it in another gun, with another barrel length, or turning the hop-up all the way down and observing the results. The problem isn't with just bouncing in the barrel but how much it bounces as explained here: community.evike.com/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=62&func=view&catid=24&id=153326Again, don't believe it if you don't want to, but it may help someone.

The point isn't whether I agree with the theory or not. You can't say you experienced the bb bouncing on the barrel because you have no equipment capable of proving your hypothesis. Go out and buy an ultra high speed camera. When you can see it on video then you can say you actually observed the behavior. The guy you linked to also stated that his post was theory, which is all I'm asking here... Have you considered that the extreme rotational velocity causes the bb to become unstable? and that it had nothing to do with bouncing? Or maybe your hop up just sucks and the more you engage it the worse your accuracy gets? Lots of other theories to explain what you observed.
He even mentions that he's done no tests and his only testing is playing at games. This whole concept of pitching a theory without out the slightest shred of evidence annoys the hell out of me. At the very least people can disclaim that it's a theory.
For the record I'm not trying to flip out on you here. There have been a lot of other people posting this and other theories (wider bore = better barrel) and I just sort of snapped now. The aforementioned theory is not even that difficult to test, no one has done it, and tons of people are preaching it as fact.

Well, chances are I'll be staying a wee bit away from the Tavor for a bit. No need to go crazy in buying absolutely everything.
For the the discussion about barrel length, I personally wouldn't find it useful to have anything really longer than VSR length simply because of the potential problems that would happen if you don't do it right with barrel spacers and whatever the hell you need. Not so much in the aerodynamics of things, but just my two cents.

Don't like SCAR's and VFC. SCAR's don't look right to me, and VFC's mags cost as much as a PMAG.

Doesnt the DMR just mean it's for the designated marks man, who has a bit more training/proficiency with shootings things than standard infantry?
So run your favorite AR platform, throw a magnifing scope on it, maybe a silencer, maybe a bipod? And that's a DMR.

Typically a DMR should get a decent bit more range than the standard assault type rifle.. However, with recent developments in hop-up technology(R-hop etc.) people are reportedly getting more range than these super upgraded DMR's with stock guns. Some reports I've heard are people are getting basically stock aeg's with an Rhop shooting close to 100 yards! This kinda range would have cost a fortune to reach with traditional hopup technology.. Shits crazy.
