Hey guys Well I heard about airsoft back when I was in highschool but really didn't have the money or parents that would allow it. So now years later I'm in college and decided to try to get into it again. I started with simply a SRC M4 and a WG 1911 and played a few days with some buddies on one of their farm lots. But living in Grosse Pointe I've been looking to get more serious in terms of my gear and location to play. For gear Ive got a pretty expensive setup on route from Evike. Primary Ares/Umarex G36KV electric blowback box of midcaps sniper carry handle with 3x optic and red dot RIS system PEQ2 laser battery box Magpul angled forgrip Noveske KHC negative sound enhancer One point sling M90 Spring (FPS 280-340) 9.6v Custom battery Secondary WE Desert Warrior 4.3 GBB 3 mags M3 Laser Flashlight combo Madbull Punisher compensator Gear Swiss Arms Plate Carrier and pouches Condor Gloves Two masks (RLUX Fallout inspired and Cactus Hobbey Punisher) Misc gas gun and battery adapters accessories Is there any addititional gear you guys would advise me getting? I know I still need a good pair of boots and some BDUs wouldnt hurt. Im currently looking at these for BDU www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=33926And these for boots www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=34953Also outside of Eastside Airsodt are there any good places near detroit? I keep thinking I'm gonna find one only to see it closed down. Any help you can give this noob would be appreciated

Don't buy your BDU's from evike, go to a army surplus store.

ACU's stand out everywhere (getting you shot) and Rothco gear isn't the best quality. I've had some old jungle boots that the stitching broke and the soles just fell off.

You should have checked on here before spending all that money on that gun. You can find great guns and gear here for a 1/4 of the price. Prime example, I had the same G36kv completely upgraded with tons of extras for sale that just sold last week for $500. I am relatively new to the forum, but have quickly realized the wealth of knowledge thats on here and how willing these guys are to help fellow airsofters, new or experienced.

Pick up done wool socks to go with them. I know, wool in the summer? Yes. The wool wicks the sweat from your feet, and the gortex lets it vent out of the boot. Fact. I used wool all weekend at Northern Lights 3 and my feet were in perfect shape at the end of it all.

Found your thread for your sold G36KV and thats about what I paid after all the upgrades as well. But thank you guys for the boots suggestion. I've been trying to find a good pair that wouldn't breakt he bank on their own. As for the Emerson Tactical, I know ACU isn't the best camo but has anyone used their tact suits? I've been trying to find out if the built in knee/shoulder pads are worth a damn or if I should go with aother brand and get the pads sepratly. I saw that in the event section but when i went to their site it seemed like they only did paintball and nothing else. I sent a quick email to them to find out and had not heard back yet. As for who asked for links to the plate carrier and masks here you go RLUX Fallout Ranger Mask www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=38329Cactus Hobbey Punisher www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=33817Plate Carrier by Swiss Arms airsoftnmore.com/index.php/swiss-arms-ciras-style-tactical-airsoft-assault-vest-black.htmlI know the masks are really garish and arent good for outdoor games but those are more for any CQC games I play.

You can't use either of those masks. No Mesh is allowed for eye protection. Period.

Nothing says he isn't going to wear goggles or something else underneath them.

Well until he says that, Da vinci, we can assume he didn't know about the no mesh goggles rule.
(Also I'd look on his gear list he includes gloves but wouldn't include the fact that he bought other goggles or planned on it?)

I didn't mention things that I knew were needed regardless of where I played, IE .20s if at Eastside airsoft and full seal eye protection regardless of where I play. I picked up a set of full seal shooters to be worn under the masks and may outright remove the wire eyeholes after using them a while if I don't like how it feels.
Would have bought the goggles even if it wasn't required after hearing two horror stories of bbs shattering on impact with the wire mesh.
