So having recently taken the role of a sniper I found one concern with my experience; I have a hard time keeping count of my ammo. So I searched online to find a solution which are either out of my present price range or out of my circuitry capabilities. I found someone had used a calculator with a momentary switch wired to the "=" button so that is exactly what I did. So now every shot I take is displayed on the screen. I plan to just keep the calculator up in my eyesight with a large length of wire until I can afford another way to go at it. Uploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.us

This would be awesome if..
-You didn't have wires hanging from your trigger guard.
-Didn't use what looks like a kids calculator taken from school..
If you use a really small screen and find a way to place it underneath your scope this could be really cool.
+1 For effort and something pretty dang original.

I noticed my problems and like I stated there is a bullet counter out there meant for Halo props that does count but it's $32 plus shipping and that I cannot afford at the moment. The switch was $4 and the calculator was $1 and the wires I had lying around. I have taped the wires up and put the calc between the scope and the rails and it works well like this. This is temporary until I can afford the prop counter Uploaded with ImageShack.us

It might but It works better that way for me. I put black tape around the edges so it doesn't stick out so much now.

Atleast paint the calculator, or tape over the whole thing.

Or, unless you need the entire calculator, disassemble it and keep all the needed pieces and put it in something else.

I attempted that but there was no easy way to do it like that.

This is going to be my project for the upgrade of the 5th grader calculator modification. He posted the schematics for it and parts lists so hopefully this will become part of my rifle soon.
