Just to give everyone a heads up.
After the last game where some players felt they were above the stated rules, and all around common courtesy, the briefing/game start time has been changed.
Game play will start at 10:00 am now due to the following:
Extended time for chronoing of replicas, be aware of what the MIA FPS and MED standards are :
The following are the minimum distance engagement limits for airsoft replicas. This is the closest a player can engage another player with a replica rated in the following feet per second (fps) categories using full-auto, semi-auto, or single shot capability. See Article 16 for extremely close quarter player elimination.
As of April 24, 2009, these rules include a 10fps "tolerance zone". Players will be allowed onto the field if their weapons shoot up to 10.0 fps over the published limit.
OUTDOOR/OPEN FIELD ENGAGEMENT LIMITS
• 1.0 - 340.9 fps - Arms length engagement limit
• 341.0 - 400.9 fps - 20 foot engagement limit
• 401.0 - 540.9 fps – 50 foot engagement limit, bolt action or permanent* semi-auto replicas only
• 541.0+ fps - Prohibited or allowed with permission of event organizer only
*Permanent semi-auto refers to replicas that do not have full-auto fire capability, no matter how the selector switch or other user input device is manipulated.
There were too many people trying to bring hot guns out on to the field, this will not happen. If you're over the limit, you don't use it on the field. Period.
Further explanation of what DO NOT REMOVE EYE PROTECTION means.
We want to run friendly and fun games, and 90% of the players present allow us to do so, but there are a few people who don't understand the concept of rules. I refuse to let those individuals ruin it for the rest of us, so be aware if you can't follow directions and obey rules, you won't be playing.

I'd also like to add on to Pagan's post by adding this because I know it happens a lot before briefing while everyone is gearing up.
Do not test fire in the safe zone, even if you are just checking that your battery is indeed charged. Head to the chrono area, not the parking lot. We had some issues with damaged property at the last game and really do not want to see that again.

Okay now that I notice the fps rules will be much more strictly enforced, is there anywhere I can get my gun chrono'd before hand so I am not caught off guard?

I know spyops has a chrono. You could stop up there.
Or even email No limits, I believe they hold games on Wednesdays, you could stop there and check as well.

Do you guys want me to bring my Xcortech for on-field testing if there are any potential violators? I know a ref brought his last time (can't remember who it was), but I could bring mine to carry around for backup.

Helmet that would be awesome!
I'm not sure if Deacon will be able to make it, so it would be very helpful. I'll buy ya lunch or something.

"Players will be allowed onto the field if their weapons shoot up to 10.0 fps over the published limit." Does that mean if I'm firing at 408 I can still be at the 20 foot engagement.
For the record I am not trying to be above 400 on purpose, I am not sure of how good the air-seal is and how broken in the spring is.

Yes, we go by the 10 fps variance.

Do the gates still open at 9?

Yes, gates are still at 9:00.
If we can get through everything quickly, we can start earlier than 10:00, I just want enough time to go over things VERY CLEARLY.

I will be there with my chrono. I will also be spot checking on field with it.
