It was a perfect airsoft day. There was quite a large turnout for yesterday's REC game, the weather was amazing, and the field was in great condition.
The Suicide Kings did a awesome job hosting and reffing as usual, they had some great game types that we played and let everyone suggest some of their own.
We started off with a Force vs. Force game to warm up, followed by V.I.P, an Alamo type game on the island, CTF, reverse 300 (this along with the V.I.P were my favorite), and lastly a different type of CTF before I left for the day.
Overall I think everyone had an amazing time, I never heard any complaining, and there was barely any no-hit calling. Everyone seemed to have a great time and it was wonderful to be back out on the field after having just over 2 months away from the game.
Thanks again to the Suicide Kings for a great day of slinging plastic (one of the best times I've had in a really long time) and everyone else for being respectful and honest, it's you guys that made the day.
I can't wait to see everyone that will be at OP:NL3 next weekend who was there yesterday.

Thanks for the kind words Helmet. It was cool to watch you work during the VIP game.
Over all I feel it was a good day. The heat took it's toll on attendance after lunch, but we've continued to retain high numbers of players past lunch, which is great to see.
My biggest gripe about the day was the attitude of some of the players.
I understand that a lot of people play airsoft in private games with friends, but this is a MIA event. If you're not willing to abide by the rules set, don't bother coming to our event.
There were multiple instances where either myself or one of the other refs told someone something, and the player tried to be sneaky and skirt around the rules. From this point on, if we give someone a rule, and they either blatantly ignore, or try to sneak around it, that player/s is/are being removed from the game.
We host these games for fun, not for profit. The safety of those playing is a priority, not an after thought.
I'm not in anyway saying that players who aren't regular MIA users/event attendees that were present yesterday were bad players. I know there were several groups of players who aren't active in a lot of MIA events, who conducted themselves with honor and sportsmanship, but there were some that need to learn VERY quickly that is NOT a backyard private game with little or no rules.
I hate having to be a dick,( actually I don't, I just don't like being forced to be a dick) but I am not willing to compromise someone's safety, or the opportunity for us to continue to host events at Action Paintball/No Limits because someone's idea of what is acceptable.
I would rather have smaller numbers of honest, respectful players, than a bunch of rule ignoring, rude douchebags.
As far as someone's car getting shot in the parking lot, I have a pretty good idea who it was, and I promise that if they come to another one of our events a very close eye will be kept on them.
So enough of my ranting. I appreciate everyone who took time out of their weekend to come and play yesterday. The kind words from you guys, and the sportsmanship and respect I saw from MOST of the players yesterday, make hosting games worthwhile.

Awesome day. The heat never bothered me. Pagan, you make an excellent point. I think that the specific FPS restrictions and engagement rules should be heavily emphasized before the day starts during briefing, so any players who had anticipated playing in a dangerous manner will have second thoughts. I think we should have had a bomb game though. Those usually are the most fun, and they get all players using team work and strategy rather than just sitting in a corner. Pictures will be up soon! I'll post a link to the album, and then post my top ten favorite shots.

We had a great time yesterday! Think our biggest issue yesterday was dead men talking, as it blew our cover or gave our position out a few times, which is a buzz kill. But outside of that, we had a good time playing. Think my favorite game was easily the reverse 300 game.

Had a blast before I had to bug out for my grad party. The Reverse 300's were fun, and being on the rescue team for the VIP recovery was amazing.

Yesterday was my first game and I have to say I had a blast. People were friendly and helpful, the games were fun and fairly ref'd. I will definitely be coming back. I'd like to give the Suicide Kings a big thank you for making my first game so enjoyable!

We had a great time.
The SK crew were good hosts, and the games were briefed and run well.
The action-to-drama ratio at this event was perfect.
We look forward to the next one!

I had a really good time as well. I am glad my sniper rifle held out the entire time and was working great. I only had problems with one person (wearing the red and white rag over his face, and black shirt and was shooting the M14 (but not the guy in pegans photos)) He kept taking his mask off during game play on the castle and I told him twice that he needs to keep them on and he replyed "I know" and just kept walking on with out eye protection. That combined with his shitty personality/attitude was the only gripe about the day.
If I was to give some constructive criticism that would be to try to start the games on time, post said game play started at 9:45 I know we were still standing around at 10:30. If people are not ready then leave them.

Pagan, I see you acquired a green helmet. Pagan upon receiving said helmet: "I'm going to get shot in the head as soon as I put this damn thing on." First hit of the next game following said statement....head shot. *Laughs*
