It was hot! It was tiring! It was so much fun!
We had some interesting games decisions but by far, the Infected games at the end seemed to go really well and everyone seemed to like it. It was something new for us but it went well.
Those of you who were not able to make it, try to! We had fun!

This seems to be the closest field to me, so once I grab more midcaps i'll definitely will be making a trip to this field. How many people who do Russian Federation based loadouts go here? I don't want to be the only one running around in russian flora camo.

You probably will be the only one. Most of us wear Woodland, Tan or ACU or Urban Digital.

I run currently Soviet-afghan era and East German NVA loadouts, but I do have a set of Gorka-E in Partizan-SS pattern.
This is currently the closest field to me in Mason, but I seem to always be working when games are going on. Like the 29th, I would be great for a VIP/objective character, but I have work.

You probably will be the only one. Most of us wear Woodland, Tan or ACU or Urban Digital. *cough cough* Multicam *cough cough* Gorgoroth, wear whatever you like, we'll find a place for you Theres a guy that shows up a few times every year in Ukrainian camo, and someone who almost exclusively uses British camo, so seeing uncommon patterns aren't all that odd on this field. Further info or questions can be directed to the Events Section of the forum, where (usually) weekly events for this field are posted.

Golden Fallout was a great time for all those who missed it.
Tan looked like they were going to roll over the Green team all day but in the end, Green team pulled enough points to call it a small victory. They however failed the main objective, to kill General Boris. He managed to escape long before the Allies made it to the top of the hill.
To Broken and the RS team, Cyclone and London from FAH, Scotty, Fatty and Burton from Combat Junkies, and SABR, it was nice seeing teams work together. For everyone that came out, it was worth it and we thank you.
Cyclone, a big thank you for protecting me single handedly on the charge up the Mortar Hill. The rest of the Soviet was fighting in out in the city and you held your ground.
There was a few issues with hit calling and Engagement Limit issues, but not enough to ruin the day. It was a blast actually being on the field from the time the Op started until the final run.
I personally lugged all my gear including tactical PB&J sandwiches to my Spawn Zone and loved the fact there was no stopping unless you were hit or captured. It was a blast!

I agree with Infantry, great game for all of those who missed it!
As for the Tan side, everyone seemed to get along great and the teamwork between CJA, the RS team, SABR, and the few from FAH was astounding. Hopefully there's another OP soon so we can continue to sling some plastic together.
I only heard of a few problems with hit calling but never experienced it first hand. But I'm sure it was taking care of professionally by the Refs anyway.
The all day game play was great and kept everyone moving along and never bogged down. I saw a few people taking pictures, can't wait to see them! Overall another good day at the field.

First off, thank you Triggs and the rest of SABR for all the hard work, on the event and also on the new field layout. This was my first time this year on the field so it took some adjusting to the new boundaries.
I knew the day was going to be interesting when our initial CO retired in the first hour or so. Thanks to Infantry and Cyclone for taking over. (I would like see you as CO again zombie.) The objectives seemed to be pretty clear and made it through the chain of command relatively smooth. It seemed to get a bit convoluted for the last objective. The bombing of the city during the day seemed to prevent one team from dominating that point, and lead to some interesting rushes for control. Maybe a little more random schedule with a 1 minute warning siren or something rather than a set time?
From my perspective, it felt like green had some trouble building momentum anywhere other than the east ridge. There was a nice takeover of the apple crates by green resulting in a few intense exchanges earlier in the day. Otherwise, I felt there were more guerilla style tactics of hit-and-run rather than organized rushes for control or firefights over objectives.
On other notes: This was my dad's first game, and he had an excellent time. (He was the tan guy constantly ambushing the west border with the m14.) He's already talking about gear he wants for the next game. Think we have another guy hooked! Fatty and CJs- good to see you guys again and work with you. Infantry- nice job and good to work with you. Cyclone- great working with you. Everyone else- great game. Looking forward to the next one!

Infantry you thanked me but neither myself nor anyone from my team was in attendance. I just don't want to take credit for something I didn't do

Meant no offense, just didn't want credit unless credit was due. That is all.
