www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyT2D9xAZeIThis seems to be a good video, makes enough sense. I also found a video of disassembling a KWA gearbox, and removing it from the receiver, which will help loads.

Wire it to the rear, run whatever stock feels the most comfortable to shoot with, and then strap a battery bag/m4 mag pouch to it. You can run whatever size battery you want without having to worry about space.

But you will look kind of foolish running a battery bag when you can fit a battery in your buffer tube or any number of attractive and viable stocks on the market. In this era of airsoft, there's really no reason to run a battery bag on anything.

^ My thoughts, exactly, that's why I never considered it. The current buffer tube I use doesn't have a hole for wires in it, do I have to drill one?

You'll at least need to cut the washer that holds the screw that screws into your gearbox or buy one that's already cut. It's been years since I had to modify a gun to wire through the buffer tube, so I'm really not the guy who should be advising you, but apparently I just like to post. So I kept going. I don't know man. Sorry.

X wired his KWA to the back when he put his crane stock on a couple years ago, I'm sure he still remembers what he did.

When you buy the CA crane stock it comes with a washer that is pre cut. There is space between the body and the gearbox for the wires to slip through. I assumed this wasnt the case and unnecessarily drilled holes *sigh...*

This does remind me, is it possibru to fit a stick-type NiMh battery into a buffer tube? I'm sure the stock wouldn't retract all the way, but I would think it'd work. I'm just trying to generally avoid LiPo's.
