Hey I am new to airsoft. I have a good gun that should be good for large scale airsoft. My friends and I are looking to start airsoft on a larger scale. We were just wondering how to get into airsoft. Like I said, we do have our own equiptment. So if you can let us know what to do to start large scale airsoft. Thanks

Pretty much any game that are listed as "REC" in the events section are newb friendly. I would avoid scenario and MILSIM games for now. Play a couple recreational games first to get a feel on airsoft first.
I'd also recommend reading the stickies located at the top of these sub boards. It will make starting out as a newb much easier.

As Myers said, all you have to do is find a game in the Event section that you want to go to (Rec games have the tag "REC" at the front of the thread), read the rules, sign up in the thread, show up on time and have a fun day. Make sure you're prepared with proper eye protection, which will be at least full seal goggles but could be a paintball mask depending on your age and the field (if you need one, it will be specified in the event thread).

If you don't mind me asking, what equipment do you have? Most "noobs" find that they are vastly unprepared on their first outing.

All I have is a mask, a 390 fps aeg, and a spring pistol. I know its not much. What else would you reccomend?

I would suggest some camouflage BDU's, some extra magazines, ans an extra battery (At the LEAST). What AEG are you using? 390 FPS is too high if you're looking to play inside.

Ok thats almost too expensive because right now I'm on extremely limited funds and I know you can't buy much for under $100 but thanks for the advice!

Honestly, If you want to start playing airsoft seriously, you better start saving up some money. A decent gun will be 150+, bbs, vest, battery, charger, silicone, magazines, defog and the list goes on and on an on...

First of all welcome cschrems23 Honestly, If you want to start playing airsoft seriously, you better start saving up some money. A decent gun will be 150+, bbs, vest, battery, charger, silicone, magazines, defog and the list goes on and on an on... I got a "G" wrapped up so far in airsoft. So cschrems23 your gonna spend some cash. I advise that you read the stickies. Do your research on everything, from guns to camo.
