Hey guys.
I will be attending a convention with a group of friends from the 501st Legion. We troop all local conventions in our TK armors. This year we decided to all do some G.I.Joe impressions and I don't have any orange tips on my guns. This is necessary for the conventions.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to get some Orange covers, barrel covers that I could order that will fit over a flash hider so that I looks orange but isn't permanent.

Can you just wrap it in orange tape?

I think I'm the product of two siblings sleeping together.. doy!, do you think that would be ok. One of the other members suggested that also. But I worry that someone will still think it's real and I'm just trying to pass it off.

If you have a spare, you could just paint that one.

Is it for an M4? I have the normal M4 style flash hider in orange, sitting around. You could borrow it, and return it at our team practice, or NL3.

If you decide to go that route. I have one that you could have, if you like. I have no need for it. It might be more red though. I haven't actually pulled it out of my gear bag in a long time, so I don't recall its exact color.
Also, are you trying to unscrew the flash hider correctly. Remember, it might have CCW threads.

I do know you definitely have to have the orange tip on it, no magazine and some form of plug. ( I am referencing the rules from ACEN). In my own opinion, just find a bright orange barrel cap and tape it on there. I've seen that way done a few times and they were OKed to walk around.

If you don't mind I think it would be the best option. I don't like plugs all that much as they are not as visible and don't want to risk loosing my gun at all. In any case maybe for my pistol I would do that. When you say no mag, Do you mean just in the gun or should I not carry any at all?

My flash hider is CCW by the way. If you want the flash hider, like I said, I'll want it back later. If you want the plug, you can have it. All we need to work out now is how I get it to ya.

Tank. Sorry I didn't specify. Just the plug would be good.
If I can slide it on and then off later that would be ideal.

Kinda on topic, but I have a few of those (3) I could sell to you.

Yeah, that's no problem. When is your convention? I could just give the plug to you at our squade 3 training, when we set the date, if that will be in time. Otherwise we will have to meet up. I don't see it really being worth it to ship it. I work in Madison Heights and live in Livonia. Are either of those close to you?
