Ninja, I was talking about the Harris prc152 pouch and real aor1. Ive already done the comparisons between my real aor1 combats and the repros.

Honestly, the repro AOR looks almost identical to any set of real AOR that has been used once or twice. Or has seen a washer/dryer. Hoover, your gear and you, are both noob/boot How about a gear list? Not bad though seriously, always tough for us .mil fellas to make "Impressions", kind of funny but most of the time Mr. Sam doesn't issue us what we need (At least for the USMC side of the house) so we have to buy the stuff that we know works for us, and isn't generic issue. I'm still not 100% sold on the multicam, but I do like your flak that you're running with there.

yeah, but all of my gear, aside from the 226 holster, have been used. Getting issued multiple sets and being able to order more, helps. so whatever noob/boot is, I don't understand.
Crye set Eagle PC Eagle belt Eagle shingle Eagle 4x pouch i can't remember the rest merrel boots oakley goggles nomex flyer gloves and the MAP on the back
The desert digi stuff works decent in places down south, like around leatherneck. but when you travel from province to province, it's nice to have, and works. There is a huge difference going from places like logar, wardak, etc up north to kandahar and leatherneck areas south. I don't think the marine corps gets issued shit, it's simply a matter of budget, and how wisely different branches utilize it.

It was a joke my fellow combat veteran.
Gear list looks good man, just a shame that the USMC hasn't figured out how to allocate the expenses to get the best gear to the troops.

Well... I guess everyone is going to laugh at my urban combat kit from this past winter. When my only legal gun I could use was my M-60 while my AK was hot at 420. It was fun setting up shop in windows, holding hall ways all by myself. While everyone wants to be a SEAL or a special ops guy, I am aiming for a contractor/militia look. In all honesty, this was more or less thrown together from random military stuff I have.

While everyone wants to be a SEAL or a special ops guy, I am aiming for a contractor/militia look. In all honesty, this was more or less thrown together from random military stuff I have. It's true that the number of cool guy, SEAL/DELTA/1337-Sauce loadouts dwarf the number of regular grunt loadouts. However, I'm pretty sure that this doesn't qualify as an "impression" since, as you admit, it's "more or less thrown together from random military stuff..." It's hard to do a "impression" of something as generic as "military contractor/PMC" unless you get a bit more specific and do something like "Aegis Defence Services, Iraq, 2005," "Executive Outcomes, Sierra Leone, 1995" or "Blackwater, Iraq, 2007" and base your gear and equipment off of what was being used by those groups, in those locations, during those periods. A good impression (note that I said good) isn't just tossing a few things together, it's a meticulously researched reproduction based on primary and secondary evidence that clearly indicates that certain gear and equipment was being used by the unit being replicated at a given juncture in time. People frequently post their rather poor "Navy SEAL" impressions featuring gear that SEALs have never been shown to use. Condor gear springs to mind... when criticized these individuals then use the "well, special forces use whatever they want" line as an excuse that any gear is appropriate since, hypothetically, SEALs could, in some future event or alternative reality, use that gear. The "correct" way to do an impression, however, is to select gear and equipment based on evidence (photographs, video, documents, etc) that indicates that that gear was actually used. I'm not trying to be a stitch-counter or geardo, but sometimes it's necessary to establish some sort of guidelines as to what does or does not constitute an impression. Also, it's not that your image isn't appropriate, it's just not necessarily appropriate for this section of the forum. There are other, more general gallery threads into which your image might better fit. For the record, I don't do impressions, simply because I like to use whatever I feel works.

Looks good so far. A khaki colored shemagh would look good, IMO, but it's mostly a personal preference.
