I am having an issue with my King Arms M4 style mid-cap magazines "double" feeding into the chamber. They are newly purchased and I am breaking in the springs but I was wondering if that will be sufficient enough to fix the problem or if that would make it worse. I have tried only feeding about 100 rounds into it to see if that was the problem, but it seems like it will double stack no matter what. I am FAIRLY sure I have narrowed it down to this issue from the regular mag problems like seating and spring tension.
Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

You could try hitting the mags against a hard surface to try and align the bbs.

I had the same problem with mine and I just lubed them and they worked great again.

I had the same problem with mine and I just lubed them and they worked great again. When it comes to lubing mags, whats the best way to go about it? Some silicone spray in the chamber? Spraying the bbs and loading them in?

You can do it either way, I personally like to do the slicone in the chamber technique. Glad I could help.

Just a little mist the first time and then see how well they start feeding and if you feel they need more go for it. It usually takes me a few squirts.

One of the things that I've done just to avoid any jams is a only put about 30+ rounds in every magazine regardless of the capacity (except high caps)
It helps because I have so many different mags that I can't remember how many each one holds plus its a little more on the realism side.
The other reason why I like doing that is when you fill a mag to its maximum capacity it puts a little more strain on the spring and the channel that the bb's travel in and that can lead to bb's maybe double stacking and getting stuck.
Try the mag with just 50 rounds and see how it acts. If it keeps consistently jamming still then we can take a closer look at it.

I tried a few times with each mag at 50 rounds and they still double feed even after some liberal amounts of lubing.

Where is the double feeding happening? In the gun or in the mag?
If your gun is double feeding, you might have a hop up problem.

It occurs in the magazine, sorry for not specifying. It happens about one BB length down the chamber in each mag.

Your mag issue is very weird. I have a couple King Arms M4 Midcaps that are single stacked through the mag. Best mags I have ever tried in my M4. Seriously, they are my choice of mag. I did have feeding issues with some Echo 1 M4 Midcaps that are double stacked and are funneled into single file at the top of the mag. I would get a couple bb's to shoot, then they would get caught on each other somewhere near where the funneling started. If you would allow my crudely drawn picture: Double stack Echo 1 MidcapI didn't want to draw all the bb's, but the bb's get struck near that funnel and won't move. Sometimes banging the mag will release them, but generally not. I tried some filing and glue based fixes that did not work so I just threw those mags in the back of my closet and stuck with the King Arms ones. If anyone has a fix, that would be amazing!
