So being a little concerned about the paypal address I thought hmm... What if I went to gmail and tried to take that address?... Go figure it's available!

This could have been a VERY big problem. I snatched the email and the paypal. Because the email didn't exist everyone's money is safe. There are no funds in the account. I'm assuming that when PayPal attempted to email this account the email was returned by gmail's mailer daemon. This probably deleted everyone's payment. Just don't send any more money to this account. If someone does I'll make sure to refund it.
