Regardless, don't worry everyone. This event is still going on and that's all that matters. Plus we all have the option to pay at the door still.

Question was answered for all who have the same issue: if you prepaid already to sales@airsoftofkalamazoo then you should still be good to attend this op, however I would reccomend printing a copy of the transaction and bringing it with you.

Who is opdoc and what involvement did he have with wwp? There are rules about flaming in Event threads. Anyone who wants to know about OpDoc can PM me or apparently Ghast as well. Suffice to say I will never take part in any event which has his involvement. EDIT: OK it seems like all of these late comers keep reading this post and PMing me. Read the whole frekin' thread.

I was far from flaming. I was simply asking for clarification on accusations that several members made prior to my post. I have since received clarification and will most likely not attend this event.

Let's not derail this thread. X already mentioned that he will talk through PM's about his above post so if you have any further questions about the topic, that is how you should approach it.
From the latest I've read about this event in the AofK forums, Tino got really busy with life and needed help running this event and OpDoc offered to help him run it. To my understanding Tino is still going to be there and mainly doing the event coordination, however Doc is just assisting where he can.
I can understand that this will deter some from attending and those that change their minds should make sure to take their names off of the roster so that the event coordinators can have a better estimate to attendance.

I was just saying that I don't want to be the guy that starts a huge derailment and breaks forum rules by "flaming" another member in an event thread.

Received a PM on Facebook from OpDoc. He is removing all association from this event. Feel free to continue to go to this event as planned.

I just visited the kzoo site. There is a claim of withdrawing by OpDoc. I wanted to point that out, if it will sway anyone's decision to attend the event.
Edit: Mosin beat me to it.

Don't forget guys that regardless who is hosting or not, we should be supportive. There's a lot of people looking forward to attending this event and the better the player turnout, the better the event will be for everyone. I understand people have strong reservations, but we need to support our local event hosts so we can have airsoft games to go to so we can continue to enjoy this hobby.

I'm all about supporting this sport to a certain extent. The main thing here (And these are facts, not event flaming) is that back when OPDoc was running games he did extra raffles on the side with claims that proceeds were going to Wounded Warrior Foundation, when in all reality they weren't. Since then he has been banned from hosting, attending, or planning any events that take place in Michigan.
While legal action was never pursued due mainly to lack of physical proof, the actions taken by the members who run/operate MiA were those listed above. I myself having seen first hand from IED blast to a team mate losing his right foot, and is now 3 months later walking around with help of a prosthetic leg with his child because of this program, would like to think that I know first hand how much it sucks those people were conned out of hundreds (Possibly thousands) of dollars. This took place about 4-5 years ago and overall I'm just glad to move on from this, with standing punishments being what they are.
Anyways, I'm also hoping for a great turnout as this will be the first game I've attended in quite some time (Thanks mainly to my Active Duty military lifestyle). I hope that despite what has been said earlier, those who have retracted their ballots to the game decide to join up again, and I look forward to sling 6mm with you guys again.
