KSC's were always the best out of the box to me, but you tend to run the weaker gas with them (134a, people still use that?). KWA was always the brand i could drop, kick, have pieces missing and would always work. My current KWA G19 has 1 functioning spring (should have 2) for the recoil chamber and no screw for the gas chamber to hold it to the rear site as well as something elsemissing, and it operates like it did when it was brand new.
As far as upgrades go, aftermarkets always vary depending on what brand you are using it with (KSC had good luck with Guarder, but not with KWA, ect). I never had much luck with G&G outer barrels with any brand (KJW, KWA, KSC).
Recoil springs/rods are all pretty much versatile, I never had issues installing any brand (to my recollection) with any trouble.

KSC/KWA shoots harder(kick and FPS), TM tend to have better accuracy. You can run the KSC on propane also. TM will run propane as well, but you might run into frame cracking issue(fixable): Other than that, TM are easier to work on I find, and easier to get parts for. They are however pickier on holster. RS .45 cal Holster tend to fit them better than RS .40/9mm ones....

I can agree with the holster fitment. My KWA Glock 18 with a PGC slide fit pretty nicely in a Safariland I had, but my TM with an SD slide was really tight in my G-Codes. Yeah, they're different holsters, but both are top quality brands.
I liked my KWA Glock, granted it was an 18 and the FA sucked total cock as it was older, but it was very crisp and pretty hard kicking with a 140% recoil spring and High flow valve. Parts, however, were a bitch to find...
I loved my TM Glock 17. On propane from the start, the slide cracked at the front pretty quick, but and SD slide and 150% spring were on the WTB list anyway. Once I put the SD slide and upped spring on it it shot great, but then the cylinder cracked. No big deal as an AS surgeon hard cylinder was on the WTB list as well, but it's something to keep in mind when buying one. Parts are really easy to find for TM Glocks, so you'll have a better experience in that aspect. Once I finally fished it, it shot and simply felt amazing. It even got it's own little reputation on AO, people really seemed to like it.

Thanks for all the imput guys, I am in the process of getting a glock and I want to upgrade a lot of stuff I have been reading and see all over the place, it seams they are pretty easy to find parts for if you look hard enough, I have been finding more of the KSC after market stuff but TM is there too in abundance so long as you have a idea of what your looking for.

BOTH are fucking gorgeous. If I could find one, I'd buy a 19 to match my real one.

In those pictures it wasn't permanently attached. I made another semi permanent attachment system, but it's not nearly as clean looking. I'm probably going to get another slide and tap it to have a nice solid mount.

That's pretty awesome, if you can get a set of irons that works with that would be even cooler...I don't think we have enough space under an airsoft slide to machine off the slide like they do in the real thing to mount the optic even lower...

Wouldn't there be issues with the spacing of the top of the blowback housing?

Wouldn't there be issues with the spacing of the top of the blowback housing? This is basically why I think RS solution like this: is probably not possible in Airsoft...

Did some work on my we glock 17. Turns out the gun still works, all but one of the mags have horrible gasket rubbers. I polished the sides of the slides, as well as the guarder outer barrel. Left the top black. I'm loving it. Next up is a coat of tan for the frame.
