Eagle's Khaki is or was all MJK, Matt Johnson Khaki. He was a designer for Eagle back in the day and designed the CIRAS among things. MJK may not longer be in use, but the variation between it is minimal. Its just a green/yellow tint difference, which can be explained by different runs.
The first image identifies coyote browns made by various manufacturers, while the second image identifies a variety of different greens made by different manufacturers. For example, in the second image I, J and N are all called "Ranger Green" and made by different manufacturers. Likewise, there are a variety of Olive Drabs identified by manufacturer.
I thought the point of this thread was to allow players to differentiate between what manufacturer A calls "walnut brown" and what manufacturer B calls "walnut brown."
That's exactly my point, I'm not against player input, I'm against irrelevant information.
That's how I see them, yeah. The Pantac is quite a bit darker than the FLYYE, and has a bit more purple in the mix, giving it that richer chocolaty color. The FLYYE CB is lighter, and is squarely in the brown/tan area of the spectrum (the various khaki's all tend a bit yellow by comparison).
Its funny, I went to a local surplus store when I lived in Toledo. Bought some Marpat and was so happy! Got to the next game and met up with my squad that was wearing Marpat... I didn't match!!! I WAS MAD,I have nothing else to say.. Turns out they sold me the Navy III and since I didnt have anything to compare it to I was none the wiser. Holy smokes did I look like an oddball on my squad.
