Matching gear colors from different manufacturers can be tough if you haven't seen their products in person. Let's build a collection of side-by-side comparison photos of gear from different manufacturers and their comparable color options. Below is a comparison between Eagle Industries khaki, Pantac khaki, FLYYE khaki, Pantac Coyote Brown, and a bit of FLLYE Coyote Brown.
If you have a camera capable of taking high quality pictures and some gear to compare, your contribution would be very helpful. Because companies may change their dyes over time, and because not every camera captures colors the same, feel free to add photos of brands and colors that have already been posted. The larger the archive, the more useful this thread is.
The first image identifies coyote browns made by various manufacturers, while the second image identifies a variety of different greens made by different manufacturers. For example, in the second image I, J and N are all called "Ranger Green" and made by different manufacturers. Likewise, there are a variety of Olive Drabs identified by manufacturer.
I thought the point of this thread was to allow players to differentiate between what manufacturer A calls "walnut brown" and what manufacturer B calls "walnut brown."
I'm with Gimpalong on this one. Player input is great because we can control how we shoot the gear to ensure we're capturing it as accurately as possible. But that doesn't make the above shots less informative (their shitty list at the bottom does that. Bazing!). They did the same thing I did, but with green. It doesn't really matter who captures the picture and lists the gear as long as it's done well and labeled correctly.
