I agree. I wore a black weesatch and hydration carrier with Marpat at Op: Island Thunder (Juicebox, I know you were there) and I got hit more times than I would've liked. Compared to those who wore OD, RG, CB, and Khaki, I've been told I stood out way more. But, I still do like what you've got so far.

At the moment I'm saving money again for school. But once i have money to spend again I'll prolly look into getting a PEQ box, and contrary to what you might think the plate carrier is actually quite comfortable and easy to move in. Camo can easily be switched, but those are the colors I'm currently using. My favored playing fields are leaned more towards CQB, indoors, and what not, so I don't really plan on hiding out in the brush often and being prone a lot. Being prone is still easy enough even though I have all the magazines. The reason for all the magazines is that I run with all mid caps. I lean more towards the realism of reloading rather than continuous rapid fire and winding the bottom of the mag. I haven't had to go through all the mags yet, but that rig is a setup for a big event, such as Operation Irene, which I'll be at next year. But rig will prolly change in the future.

Most of us run midcaps as well, and carry maybe 6-8 mags at a time. At 100+ rounds a pop, 8 mags will usually get me through a full day of playing. If it's a very target rich environment, I might have to reload 3 or 4 at lunch. Try and go lighter. Bring it down to 8 midcaps on you at a time and see how it goes. If you find yourself reloading a lot in between games, load all of your mags at the start of the day, and just switch your empties with the full mags waiting in your gear bag when needed.

It's a good thing those plastic midcaps don't weigh as much as real 5.56 mags fully loaded. You'd be slogging around 15 lbs in ammo alone. The fact that 1 bb is not quite equivalent to 1 bullet means that you're going to fire more rounds, sure. If you figure 4 bb's to 1 bullet, you'd get your 120 round midcaps as being equivalent to a real 30 round magazine.
Now, if you were going to carry 15 mags in a real combat scenario, that's 450 rounds. From what I understand, that's a little toward the high side. 300 rounds maybe, but I think that'd still be pushing it. Point is, if you're actually going through that much ammo, you're probably shooting way more than you need to. And if you're not, then why carry it around with you all the time?

I was gonna switch to single mag pouches in the future, or perhaps a few less dual mag pouches. I don't really use that much ammo so I dont really need that many mags. Then again having extra ammo for a teammate who runs out is a plus. But i will most likely switch to single mag pouches to cut down on bulkiness and increase speed.

If your looking to carry some extra mags for a buddy, try mounting them on your back. They are out of the way and a teammate can access them if need be.
I agree with what others have said about running with less mags though, I originally ran with 10 + 1 in the gun. After reading about players running less than that I tried it out and it was by far, for the better. The decrease in bulk allows for a much cleaner and efficient playing style. Since then I have moved from 10, 100rnd Mids down to 8 30rnd mags.

Well OP, it looks like you have in fact been called out. Try using google to search airsoft teams that have the same name as you next time.

Dev, it doesn't matter. Above all FEAR is a videogame, neither team was particularly original. The other team is from MA and denotes themselves as Team Alpha or something. IceKatt can name his team whatever he pleases.
I know there is another Hellfish team, and I'm fairly sure another ODA 561 team.

Well, Dev, it looks like you have in fact been called out. Try reading the forum rules before posting in a months old thread with nothing constructive to add other than attempting to create drama.
Have some awesome warning points!
