He's talking about how you said there was asbestos.… Ok, and? There is asbestos in the more recent camo types like ACUs and MARPAT to make it fireproof. If you are rubbing your skin against it a lot, you could get some in your skin. That's what I'm saying.

Where did you hear that? I know they've been working on making the uniforms more fire-resistant, but not that they'd used asbestos.

If you are rubbing your skin against it a lot, you could get some in your skin. That's what I'm saying. Do you have a source for that information. We all wear camo on the regular (not to mention all of the Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, Airmen and Coasties who wear them daily), with it rubbing up against our skin all day long, under pressure from gear and with our pores open from sweat. If there's actually asbestos in modern camo, I'd like to know. But I'd also like to see it confirmed by a legitimate source with some evidence to back it up. Nothing related popped up in my light Google digging, and Asbestos.com seems to imply that Asbestos exposure is somewhat limited both to specific jobs and a specific time period: www.asbestos.com/veterans/veterans-at-risk.phpThey don't mention anything about camouflage or a modern environment.

Ok, the asbestos was found in casual and work clothes (like one piece working outfits, like what the Airforce uses) camouflage clothing by some clothing company, as well as a third party fabric company making military imitation camouflage. And, you guessed it, it was made in China. It was recalled, but there is still some of their stuff floating around. I'll post the links once my computer connects, it was on an Australian website, sooo... yeah.
I hope this clears it up.
