Great day. I keep loving this field. Just to note, there will not be an event next Sunday. Had a ton of fun with my newly purchased APS II. I'm going to edit this in here.. I guess I feel the need to say it. I noticed quite a bit of cheating for the first time at this field. Just because you have no clue where the shot came from, doesn't mean you stand there and take 4 more shots before you call it finally. I understand if you don't know what hit you on the first shot, and then take a second shot to realize "oh I've been hit." That's happened to me, so I can understand that for sure, especially when you're being hit by a sniper rifle. I also know sometimes people can't feel a hit, or hear it for that matter, but today was getting out of hand. I almost wanted to stop playing with my sniper rifle. My APS II hit (very rough estimate, but giving a number for an example) ~15 people total today, but only got credit for probably 8 of those. I also know Ct Man was frustrated with this as well. I haven't had a problem with no hit calling before here, and I'm not that guy who yells "CALL YOUR HITS!" on the field, because I give people the benefit of the doubt. But when I can see my bbs sail off your gear and even hear it hit you (even if I'm a good 100yds away) and you don't call it, I'm going to get frustrated and keep throwing rounds into you. So c'mon... Police yourself guys. It ruins the game, especially for us snipers. Other than that, I had a great time. That second to last game was hilarious. I climbed a tree, and sat up there and picked off two guys with my APS II.. Man that was awesome. Can't wait for this event upcoming in two weeks . Knief can post some information about that on a later date. Should be awesome!

How was the turn out at this one? The best yet actually. We had a good 8 vs 8 if I remember correctly. It appeared everyone who signed up, showed up this time.

Mmmm. Good time.
Edit:
I'd like to add onto what OZone was saying. Cheating was getting bad. Not saying everyone did it, but it was happening, and a lot. I watched him hit people and they just walked away. And the same goes for me. In some cases, We shot people 4-5 times. We watched them sail right into them. On cases they would even look down at it and then continue on. It really ruins the game for us snipers and makes you look bad. Take the hit. Dont full auto me after I shot you with one shot.
Like he said, Police yourself and have some some self dignity as well as respect for the other players.

Great Day! This field was really nice and I felt like I got my moneys worth. The owner Keith was a hell of a guy and I look forward to more games out there. More trails perpendicular to main ones would be nice. The only problem I saw was some safety issues in the safe zone. If your in the area this is a must play!

So we can be on the lookout for them in future events and enforce them, input is always welcome. Edit: (Thanks for the PM)

I know I wasn't there, but for all the new players:
CALL YOUR HITS

I can attest that there was some Cheating, and I can admit that I did once, only because It took me a few seconds to look to see where it came from, seeing that me and a few other team mates were being pinned by a guy with a LMG, thinking it was a bouncer. It was only until I saw Ozone and CT man, guilled up behind us did I realize I was hit. I have to say I am at fault, but when you are in the middle of nowhere, It would be easier to call "Oh, Someone is sniping" than when you are tightly hunkered down with someone hosing BBs upon your position. In the future, I will have to be more careful, it is kind of jarring to think that you are safe behind cover when you suddenly get popped from behind.

My guys and I had a great time. I personally did not have any hit calling issues....ok, maybe one but it was borderline. It is unfortunate that there were people not calling hits, but on the upside I didn't hear people screaming for people to call it, which was nice. The field was very nice, everyone has to come and check it out. Having played at all of the SEM fields over the last few years trust me when I say that this is a good one. There is lots of potential for it to get even better. Greg is a great guy, it is Greg right not Keith? He got things going quickly and kept the game flowing throughout the day, even joined in. He was begging for criticism. I honestly had nothing bad to say. I am sure the more we play there the more ideas to improve it will come up. I do have to disagree with the more trails idea. Seems to be just fine the way it is. I like having more remote areas of just underbrush. Of course putting trails in the back area is required. Come on out fellas.....you will enjoy!

I had a really great time and I met a lot of cool people, you guys are awesome! Being that this was my first time at this location, I felt very welcome. So thank you all! Greg is a really great guy, and I really appreciate his enthusiasm and how much effort he puts into this. I think I only noticed one instance of potential cheating, but then I'm using a half-decent JG so there's no telling whether the guy was just out of range. My only criticism and something that greatly concerns me is weapon discipline in the staging area as well as a couple instances on the edge of the field when a bunch of guys had run out of respawns. I can't count how many times I was practically looking down the barrel of a gun or had one pointed in my direction or in a direction in which a BB could ricochet and cause damage. People were shooting with other people in front of the 90 degree line perpendicular to the end of the gun, which is something that should pretty much never happen, ESPECIALLY when people around are not wearing their goggles. Carelessness is what causes accidents and I believe that we should be treating airsoft guns the same that we would treat real guns, i.e. using some basic rules for real guns: treat every gun as if it's loaded, don't point at something you don't intend to shoot, you can freaking die (or at least cause someone to go deaf or blind), etc. Before games start I think there should be a briefing on weapon safety, and we should be checking ourselves and (respectfully) each other on proper handling.

Motown brought this to my attention, I'll be sure to relay the message to Greg and also put it upon myself to enforce the safety and talk about it before games.

Yeah, I caught one guy with his goggles off at respawn right at the end of the game. Goggles should stay on until you are back at staging, even if the game is technically over. Someone may not have heard the game called.
Also whoever let off that flash bang grenade in the staging, not cool. I am not that familar with them but just seems like a potential for debris to get in someones eyes. Use common sense guys.

They don't really kick anything up though. All they do is bang. I was trying to get a game started and couldn't yell, so I tossed that.. But won't do it again. I agree with the goggles. I tried to tell a bunch of people to put goggles on throughout the day. I mean, Greg even took the time to post signs saying goggles on. I'll talk to him about it and if people continue to do it, I'll tell them to just kick them out after a warning or two. But people shouldn't have to be warned about their eye safety.

Shanker had one go off in his bare hands one day at No Limits and absolutely nothing happened... Not even a scar, cut, scrape, or even redness. Those things aren't as dangerous as you'd think, but then again, Murphy's law... Plus, like you said, it is common sense. I could imagine a perfectly places BB next to the devince when it goes off and someone standing nearby does run the risk of being shrapnel-ed.
