Great opinion Kneif. I think I'll be going with tan one I get some more cash from my paycheck in a week. Then possibly some more pouches to go along with it

Is is possible for you to try on a few vests before you buy one?
I bought a CIRAS vest and hated it. It was so big and bulky on me and I felt like I was swimming in fabric. Then I tried an RRV and fell in love. For me it's a perfect balance of molle space and light weight, and it allows me a full range of movement.
I would try on some different styles of vests to see what seems to fit you best. Since you are on such a tight budget you might just be stuck with what you can afford. It just sucks to drop $80 on a vest just to find out it doesn't fit at all like I did.

I, gonna raise my budget to $80, because most vests run around that. @theend, How much is a basic RRV?

I run a Pantac MPS,essentially a clone of the "satch" series, and it its great! Pantac uses 1000d Cordura nylon (very scratch and abrasion resistant) and coat it with teflon for waterproofing. The MPS contains 6 internal pouches. 4 of the pouches can hold up to 3 stanags, and 2 side ones can hold radios, flashlights, kill rags, etc. the front and back panels contain MOLLE loops for even more gear. They're fairly easy to adjust, you dont have to open them up like a CIRAS, it secures with buckles.
There is also a large back pocket for maps, and the pockets for a front and back SAPI plate.
The only real downfalls i see with the MPS are the following. First one is that mags can fall out of the pockets if you are not wearing it, like if you put it down because the pockets are designed for 3 mags. The second is it can be uncomfortable without mock sapi plates, foam and carboard, whatever you use to fill the SAPI pouches. Finally, you need to find a home for the slack in the adjusting straps, unless you like two streamers coming off your shoulders...
At ~100 dollars though, you get a lot of vest for your buck. It's tough, effective, adaptable, and affordable.

It's probably pretty mediocre. It certainly looks cheap.

yeah, but on a budget, it's about what I can afford, or for $100 more I can get the CIRAS rig that they have. but that's a bit out of the question. This might be the one I go with, and if I do, there's always a chance that I can upgrade in the future.

True, do they have that one in tan? If so, that's probably what I'll go with. EDIT, I found this one for a bit cheaper, and that would allow more money for pouches and such.
