Hey, I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about a new field in or around Ypsilanti, Michigan? I was on my way home and I believe I saw a sign near an open area saying "Coming soon," "Airsoft field." I may be mistaken but if anyone knows anything please, share the knowledge. I would be extremely excited if a field opened up near me for once. Thanks
P.S. I'm sorry if this is in the wrong thread but I consider myself a "newbie" so I figured I'd start here.

Do you remember whereabouts you saw this sign?

Is it on Michigan Ave? I had a friend at work tell me about that sign. He said it's like right next to where we work, I haven't gone to look yet. I may look today if I remember. I live literally 5 minutes from there, so I can go see on my way into work, and I'll post back to confirm it for you tonight, if no one beats me to it.
Knief I think it's on Michigan Ave near Hewitt road.

Head east on Michigan Ave past Hewitt and it'll be on your right somewhere. I work at the Wendy's on Hewitt, and my friend at work said "take a right, out of here and it's like right next to us." I'm not 100% sure this is the same field paris7 is talking about, but I'm almost certain it is. I'll look tonight as well if Ghast doesn't beat me to it.
Edit: found it here is a phone number: 734 720 1375 "Ypsi Matrix Airsoft" It's on Michigan Ave just east of Hewitt road. It's a little yellow sign with a wooden sign that said "Airsoft".
I contacted the owner, I told em to register for MiA. He has an event for adults 9/11 at 10am. He should be postig events here soon, I told him to contact Knief. Their field can hold about 40 people he said. I'm pretty stoked!

The owner seemed to be interested in getting onto MiA, so I'd expect to see a post in the event section soon. Also when you call, you'll have a bunch of advertisements before he picks up. And thanks for posting the pictures, I was going to but I'm on my iPhone .

This sounds like it could be sweet for us washtenaw county guys. Yeah that's what I'm saying. I live literally 5 minutes driving distance away. . I'm pretty stoked to see what they have to offer. As I already said, they have a game 9/11, at about 10am. He said he'd call me back sometime this week and let me know the exact time. I'm definitely going to check this out.

Fucking awesome. This is like, 10 short minutes for me. I hope their field is decent and they know how to run games. He said it can currently hold up to 40 people, so it should be fairly big, which is somewhat good. They have been open for a month, and are still expanding, they needed more money to expand some more (obviously). When I told him about MiA, I could tell he got excited. He was telling me how they were looking for more guys to play, and I said "hey check this website out, we're a society of like 7,000 people dying to play airsoft." So I wouldn't be surprised if he joins MiA, and gets events ran through here. I could tell by his voice that he's like "holy SH*T" at the amount of people on the forum, and I told em that if the field is good, people will be willing to show up. Also I'm sure they might need some help running games (just a guess since they are fairly new). But yeah I'm hoping they can at least run a game and not have many problems. He called me back, he has 29 acres of land. And he will be making an MiA account tonight. $12 a game.

To be fair though, 7,000+ accounts is hardly representative of the active airsoft community. I bet if you added up the number of different accounts that have logged in even in the last year, you wouldn't even hit 1000. You might hit 500, if that (I'd tell you exactly how many, but for some reason the admin search function only displays a certain number of accounts regardless of how far back I go). Now that's not to say that there aren't people who come here and just look up when events are going to be and never bother to make an account, because I'm sure there are. That said, more fields are always good, even if they are on the other side of the state.

Is this on the North side of Michigan Ave, or the South, Trust? That red marker doesn't look accurate, being that there is only a very small portion of land existing on the north side... The South side looks sick as fuck, from what I can see. I'll call them tomorrow to see whats up.

I'll call them tomorrow to see whats up. No need bro . I'm already talking to em, I'm going out to the field tomorrow to check it out because I live right next to it pretty much. He wanted me to come out and talk to em about how to make it better, what it looks like, and how to help him post on the forums. I can take some pictures and everything for you guys. He's going to message Knief about posting the game for Sunday in the events section.
