So I recently just purchased a Ruger green gas pistol. 1 magazine leaks but the other one has no trouble. But when I load the other one with a full thing of gas it only manages to last about 5 shots? I'm very confused and would love an explanation of why this is happening.
Thanks -J

Are you holding the mag up side down with the green gas tube?

Are you sure there are no leaks?

Check to make sure the gas is even flowing into the mag. I just got my M9 and thought that it was broken because I only got off one mag and it would not shoot. Turns out my propane canister wasn't feeding propane into my mag properly. I just had to buy a new canister and now it works.

Try playing with your fill angle a little bit, and make sure you're filling for a full 10 seconds (or until gas starts spurting out rapidly if you don't have a silent fill valve). Make sure you're applying ample pressure as well. A lot of times, gas efficiency problems are a simple matter of improper filling technique. Even if you're experienced with GBBs, some specific mags are just more of a trick to fill than others. So make sure you're pressing hard enough and play with that angle. Also, make sure you give the mag a chance to warm up for a few minutes before you try to shoot it. If it's still cold from filling, it's got way low pressure and will blow out a hell of a lot more gas per shot than it should.
If that doesn't help, we'll work on some further troubleshooting.

No problem. Every gas mag is different, and some are just a pain in the ass to fill. You get used to them eventually, but when you learned on mags that work one way and switch to mags that need an entirely different technique, it can get frustrating.
