Yes the game is still on, but no I havent even contacted the owner yet, I think he's dead or something. You'd think he'd answer his phone or at least reply to his answering machine.

Wouldn't it make playing there illegal?

Some members from AO.com (www.AirsoftOhio.com) want to go, including myself, but we are a bit leery about the drive. We don't really want to drive 3-4 hours to get there, just to play for a few hours and then drive another 3-4 back home. Would there be any chance of starting the game earlier at all? Even an hour would help us out greatly.
Also, before the trip is made, we NEED to know if use of this "mysterious" field is allowed.
As well, I need directions to the place, like an address or something so I can put in on map quest so I can see how long the drive will be.
Right now, I will probably have two carpooling with me. Two of the Strikers Members, including myself, and one OVMB member will be present. Possibly more could attend. Us AO guys have been left in the dark as far as info on this event goes, it would be nice if you could pass a little more information our way and shed some light on the situation.
One more thing, can you post what the scenarios will be about? I do understand that it will be based somewhat on the movie Blackhawk Down, but a basic list of what we "should" expect scenario wise. This way we can bring the equipment we may think is required for the scenarios.
Thanks!
-Jason K.
P.S. Does anyone need bb’s or gas? I may be able to bring some up for AT.com (www.AirsoftToys.com) My e-mail is Im_not_here101@hotmail.com

Distorted Axis i would bring a few bags becuase it looks like there is going to be near 16 people attending this event and somone will run out of bbs. The people with the high caps tend to waste a hole clip on you to make sure they got you.

If the AirsoftOhio retailer fellows can't make it to the event, whoever has the excel bbs, I'd buy a few bags because me and my friends are starting out and didn't get BBs with our guns. If there's no spare BBs for sale at this event, we'll have to drive the 15 minutes back home. hehe ;D

Well it looks like the owner is never going to answer. But I've put way to much time fixing up the field with sandbags/holes, to cancel the game. So that means that I'm playing without permisson, which to me doesn't realy matter, I've been playing paintball there since I was 12. Also I played airsoft about a week ago, while playing my severly retarted friend lit some fireworks, but no one seemed to care. Sorry if this causes anyone trouble, I wasen't expecting anyone to sell the property.

All,
Airsoft Ohio is no longer sponsering Operation Blackhawk Down. Approval for use of the field has not been obtained from the property owner(s). Events being held on private property must have permission from the owner to meet the criteria of an Airsoft Ohio event. Holding and airsoft event on private property without permission is illegal. In Michigan, violation of statute MCLA 750.552 (Criminal Trespassing) is a criminal misdemeanor offence, punishable by a fine of up to $50.00 and 30 days in jail or both. If you wish to attend this event, do so at your own risk.

Well jeez when you say it like that, I think you're realy making it sound worse than it is. Anyways I'm going to find a new field even though I'm 100% sure that there wouldn't be a problem with the last field. By the way where do you guys live, out here in the boonies no one realy cares what you do. The new field isn't as good but maybe with alittle work...

Havok, I have nothing else to say, sorry, but that's my job. I have to stay objective in these things, and do my best to keep things on the up and up. And plating on this field without permission is a BAD idea.

Aye, I have to agree with Locutus here. I'd rather you cancel the event than to play on the property without permission. I understand you've never had any trouble there in the past but who knows how things are with the new owner. One little screw up can put Airsoft here in Michigan in jeopardy. I'm glad though that you've already started to look into another play area. Hopefully you won't have as much trouble with this one. *crossing fingers* Please try to keep us as well as the guys down on the Airsoft Ohio forums updated. Also some info on the new field would be good too, such as estimated size, or even photos if possible. (If you don't have a place to put them up just email them over to me and I'll post them for you.) Still wish I could attend, but aah well...I'll be having a Blue's Clues Party baby!. YEAH!!! ;D

Distorted Axis will you beable to buy bbs at whole sale prices from AT and are you sure you are going to attend this event? Because me and my friends were looking to buying 15 bags of Excel bbs and i want to make sure you are coming before i bestoe the burden of 15 bags of bbs on you. If this bulk bb thing doesn't go down i will at least buy 3 or 4 bags of bbs from you.

Donmega54,
Well first off, unless a new field is found where permission is granted, I wont be attending.
However as far as me bringing anything for AirsoftToys, it will be for the same as what they are selling it for. I will NOT be making any money here. I am a Friend and team member for their team, and I am just doing them a favor. Again, the only people profiting from this would be Airsoft Toys, not myself. They are not even sure about it yet. They do, however, offer "bulk" bb packages. For their pricing and information you will have to contact them directly about that. They may also offer bulk Gas packages as well. You’ll just have to find out by contacting them at their email address which is listen on the front page of their site.
I can say that if we do go, you can contact them and make an order. We will deliver at the game so that you can save on shipping costs.
