Looks good. Is it all creaky and flimsy like the TM? If the body is plastic you can use Evergreen sheet styrene to cover the holes. You can find it at most hobby shops, and it comes in various thicknesses. I use it for all sorts of things. www.evergreenscalemodels.com/EDIT: Do you plan to add a charging handle to one side? As it sits I don't think you could load a round. Maybe cut a slot out on one side and glue a piece of styrene behind it to create the cutout. Then thread in a MP5 or G3 style cocking arm in it?

That looks great, you did an awesome job of modifying it. In the first photo, is that the standard FAMAS mag? Haven't seen a mag quite that straight/long before.

To answer the first question, it did creak at first untill I replaced some of the screws on the inside to hold together better, and now doesn't at all with the paint. I did face the dilemma of the fact that there is no longer a charging handle. My next step will probably be to cut a hole in the side, but the problem with that is that when the bi-pod is folded, one of the legs blocks right where the charging handle would cycle. If anybody has any suggestions, let me know!

I really like this a lot! Good job! You could just take the Bipod off if you don't use it, that will get it out of the way for you. I think a nice G3 style charging handle wouldn't look bad on it, that would be a cool project to tackle!
I also agree with using the Evergreen sheets to cover up the holes/etc.

Like others have said. Good job. You've made an incredibly ugly gun look decent.

I love the way the gun looks man, great job! As for the charging handle I think that you should put the slot were the bipod covers up but make your own handle by pressing and cutting some metal to go up and around the bipod. Thats just my idea, you can also rise up the rail slightly and put it above the bipod leg.

Holy shit, that thing is drop dead gorgeous. If you modify the charging handle on the side, and mount some very specific irons on, and it will look like that experimental F3 Famas. Definite thumbs up.

Well you could also do an indented type charging handle. make your cuts the way you would for the mp5 and instead of it sticking out, make it more inside the rifle like a little finger hole. You'd just insert you finger and pull it back. In my head it looks great but in text it sounds stupid,I have nothing else to say.. I think I would have to draw it up so I can explain it better.
or
raise the rail ever so slightly and make a g36 type charging handle. The rail would only need to be maybe 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch high/
But the way you've dont that Famas is really nice man!! I always liked the Famas but that UGLY carry handle was the only thing holding me back,I have nothing else to say.. In a way I am almost jealous!Excelent job buddy.
