I've been wanting to host a game with the proceeds towards the cure for cancer.
If it would be done, it would be held at Phoenix's outdoor field.
The game could possibly be a 2-day game.
I just want your opinions, thoughts, concerns on it.
Also, would you go?
Thanks.
And to all who have cancer, FIGHT HARD! ;D

I'd go, and I'm sure the rest of M.A.G. will go. But by a 2-day event, do you mean a non-stop event or 2 seperate days like Saturday and Sunday?

As long as it's next year when I get my license and a car, I'll be able to go. But if it's before that, most likely not. And from the sound of it, it's basically like Milsim OP: Tailwind but without the Milsim part.
Unless you want to turn it into a Milsim event where each team has to capture crates (cardboard boxes) and "the cure for cancer". That would be interesting. And the team with the most crates wins or something to that effect.

Now, they won't be big boxes because then we couldn't carry them. And the medicine/cure could be like a Gatorade stuffed in a box. And if there's cancer patients (either volunteer civies or regular players), all they'd have to do is drink the bottle to get cured and/or ready to join the rest of their team. As for the starting of the game, we could start out with 2 teams which both have half of their team that needs to be cured. Then randomly throughout the game, small care packages will be "air dropped" (not literally) at certain "drop zones" with only 2-4 cures. Just some ideas. This would also be a good thing to post on our forum.

I would definitely attend if it was a milsim based game. If it was a bunch of small rec games I may still attend, but not as likely.

Sweet, I would definitely attend an event like this. Just keep the price reasonable for a 2 day milsim and I think you'll have a decent turnout.

For 36 hours, that's a great price. Island Thunder was the same price and we only played for 6 hours plus an hour lunch. So $40 sounds reasonable to me since some of the money is going towards cancer.
But like I said before, I or anyone else on our team except you won't be able to make because it's not only 36 hours (from you say), but we all don't have cars that we can get into if it rains or something.

Airsoft no, Large events that isn't Airsoft yes. But if anyone wanted to help out, that would be great.

Since you'd be hosting at Phoenix's field, you should ask Jay and/or team Phoenix Tactical if they'll help.
But maybe Knief has a better suggestion...
