I want to start by again thanking everyone that came out to the game yesterday and put up with the heat to still play what was one of the better games I've ever witnessed.
As a co-host with Tex, I know I speak for both of us when I need to thank you as players again for making our jobs SO easy yesterday. I didn't hear complaints about rules at all. We had no incidents of cheating. Everyone played very mature and very well. I really hope you guys enjoyed the day, the objectives, and the company as I know I did. A fantastic job was done by both teams as well.
It was awesome getting to meet more of you guys out there.
As always, please feel free to leave comments or feedback about what you liked, what you didn't like, etc. Sorry about the heat, but sadly we cannot control that.

I had a great time yesterday. Probably one of the hottest games I've ever played. It was so hot that when I picked up my TM m21 off the ground the cheek rest fell off because the glue I had on turned to liquid form. I think I drank two full hydration packs of water. The objectives were great. Didn't see any cheating at all. I heard someone on green at the very beginning of the game yell out "call your hits!" Then someone went off on him. Other than that didn't see any problems like that. I was very disappointed with the fact that the night game was semi-auto only. Only because I had been dying to use my tracer rounds. Luckily one of the mods let me use full auto for like a minute. One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen was watching those tracer rounds fly up into that southern ridge. One problem I guess that needs to be pointed out is the radio system. There was a lot of misunderstanding about channels. And on top of that the radio interference was pretty bad which I guess isn't anyone's fault. Me and some other guys just turned our radios off it got so bad. Anyway, thought it was a great game. Loved the night game especially. I'm a sucker for night games. Looking forward to the next one.

I had a great time yesterday, despite the heat. However, Canto said that being a mod was like playing god, so I do blame you guys for the heat . I thought the objectives/storyline was pretty good, and damn it felt good to be a gansta. The only problem I had was that Tan team just seemed to stay up on their ridge all day, but I don't really know what your guys' objectives were. Tex, and mods: You guys put up a great game Black Talon: As always it was a blast rolling with you guys, and I hope Dingo's mouth is alright. I heard someone on green at the very beginning of the game yell out "call your hits!" Then someone went off on him. That was actually Scooter yelling at some paintballer because one of them wasn't calling their hits and was being yelled at.

I heard that too, was wondering what was going on. The game was great, the objectives were fun and creative (or blatant rip offs from similar cartel/drug running based games in the past, but that's cool too ), and the players on both teams were fantastic. I can't name everybody there, but the guys on The Cartel's Charlie Squad were a blast, and Black Talon and Immortal are always fun to play with, whether you're with 'em or agin 'em. The caliber of the players showing up to MILSIM games in Michigan is clearly going up and up every year (ODA's game this spring was similarly excellent). It's really great to see so much sportsmanship at just about every game you go to. As Traphic mentioned, the comms for the Cartel got jammed up a couple times from some vox problems and somebody slapping their call button repeatedly. That said, when we could communicate, we communicated very well. I think that was a huge reason for our success in the first half of the day. Comms are an often underrated aspect of the game, but always contribute hugely to success on the field.

Comms are an often underrated aspect of the game, but always contribute hugely to success on the field. Yeah, we didn't have all that great of communication at the night game. We all got hung out to dry during the very first drug drop at the night game. There were about 6-8 of us that were moving through the airfield, then all of a sudden we got ambushed by the SF, there were 4 of us left hiding in the grass not being able to move because we were pinned down, and no one would communicate on the the comm channels. We struggled to fall back, but somehow the 4 of us made it back to the village. I don't think the Cartel did as great the final half because of the lack of communication. During the night game I heard very minimal communication and our CO's channel was "1" which was what I was on. Although I agree with what you said for the first half. We dominated that first half. Being in Charlie Squad for the Cartel, was awesome as Knief stated. For my very first Mil-Sim game, I really enjoyed it. Especially the night game. Considering investing in some NVG's now. I think that story-line was great (even if it was a rip off of previous games). I'll be sure to continue returning to Tex's games. He knows how to host events very well.

Tex and everyone who contributed, thanks again for organizing an outstanding game.
Cartel forces, I certainly enjoyed playing with you and Immortal, it was a good challenge playing against you.
As Cartel CO, I'm awarding Knief and Dingo "Rockstar" status for their extensive contributions in leading our forces in the field. Ghast, you would have earned it, but we got pretty dinged up at the airfield. Piper, I feel a bit slighted that you neither killed or captured me. I guess there's always next time.

I blame Timm for turning his damn torch on as we were infiltrating the ridge.

We were fuct anyways. I'd rather see what I'm shooting at than just keep popping off rounds in a random direction.

Bravo squad on the cartel side spent the first hour and a half waiting for an attack that never came. It wasn't until we gave up on following orders that we actually got to do something. We had 3 people leave because of lack of actual game play. The second half we had a better time and got more trigger time. Over all it was a good game, just kinda slow paced. The highlight for me came after the sun went down and the generator shut off. Hearing people moving around in the weeds but not being able to see anything move made my heart beat harder than it has in a long time.

Over all I thought that this game was fun, it wasn't the fastest played game, but I was always moving to do another objective. I was really disappointed when I only saw only 5 tan guys the ENTIRE game. I really wish you guys would have gotten off that ridge. I needed something to shoot at with my new blaster Sorry about yelling "call your hits". Thanks for the lecture Timm, it was really for the paintballers. (Did anyone else have paintballers come up to you and eye ogle your guns and gear?) I got shot right before break by a paintball too. I know it was an accident, but I was a wee ticked. Text and Mods. I love you. Thank you so much for all your hard work you put into the field so it would be easier to navigate. The paths really helped at night. (Still fell into the river...A lot) Sandbur, It was great getting to meet you and I hope to sling some plastic with you when I get out of basic. Dingo, your face, epicly funny. <3 Hope it heals quick. One man Army, Thanks for taking the Job as CO. I know it can be a hard job. One thing I recommend is help your team get better coms. We really fell apart the last half. Also, it doesn't hurt to ask someone for some input on an objective. I was also bummed you left Sandbur and I high and dry in the dark. Really sucked getting back. (Where we were greeted by Rooster...and BB's) Hope you enjoyed your first game at Bangor. It pretty much will eat your soul...and gear. ($500 and counting for me...) Hope to see you at more games. Did anyone take pictures throughout the day? Thanks guys for making this last Op fun for me. See you all when I get home.

Had a blast being part of the sniper squad for cartel. Besides interference Intel was up to date and 100% crucial. Without it we would have been oblivious as to what was going on as we were deep on the north ridge. We had some awesome kills on tan just standing in the valley not expecting any snipers to be up in the trees. There really wasn't as much enemy movement as I hoped for. They were more focused on the south ridge. Kneif, I had a great time with you and bravo squad it was I believe. That was cool flinging some rounds across the valley. That one shot was ridiculous. Just before lunch break me and three others were pushing into village A. I eliminated 3 coming around the corner on one of the buildings. We could have definitely used some backup. After casualties there was just two of us left standing right on the edge of north ridge in front of the village. It should have been taken. The second half of the game was hectic for sniper team. Our rifle became completely useless due to poor visibility, so we changed our load out. Also as we did a wide re-con sweep along north ridge down through village A and then coming back home we were shot at multiple times by friendlies. I was later killed by my team...Kinda my fault, I flashed a laser at them. Overall the game was awesome. I am looking forward to being on a sniper/re-con team again. I had a blast with you guys. Also thank you Tex and Koko for setting this up and making this happen.
