Well, been working on this project for a long while now, and it's done. (Pretty much ) Maybe adding some paint? This thing is dead quiet and is shooting straight. Won't reach out as far as my M40 will, but it'll get out to 190-200 ft easily. Currently, It's shooting 265 +/- 3 fps with Washed KSC .30's. Inside: -Firefly Hop Up Bucking for VSR-10 (soft) -PDI 120 VSR-10 Spring -PDI G-SPEC Barrel Spacers -PDI VSR-10 BaRiKaRu-Compo Piston VC -PDI VSR-10 Spring Guide for Vacuum Piston -PDI VSR-10 V-Trigger with Piston End -PDI RAVEN VSR-10 Cylinder -PDI RAVEN VSR-10 cylinder head -Shimmed hop-up Externals: -G&P M1-s Mil dot scope (or) _4/32 Acog W/ Doctor sight & RS sunshade -RS Rock mount bipod Tokyo Marui VSR-10 Scope Mount Base Think I need to Get either a PDI 140% spring or 200% spring in the near future and possibly adding some paint. (It's all black right now still... Must.. Resist... URGE!) Let me know what you think.

Don't paint it! Such a beautiful rifle cannot be ruined by it!

I also think it should be left naked.. Looks more like a tactical sniper with the acog wich wouldnt look as good painted IMO.

That black just makes it look so clean and smooth. Although paint would look good I can't help but love that look. It's you're rifle though, it'll look good either way.

If it gets paint then you have to do what JD said. PEQ15 or nothing at all..

Nice setup, have you considered adding a sorbothane or rubber pad to the cylinder head (not sure if the raven already features this)? Might be a bit redundant with an air-brake piston though.
I don't know why, but I've always felt VSR's were the easiest to make dead silet with an air brake and/or a little bit of padding on the cylinder head/piston.

Right now, it shoots like a champ, and is quieter than a stock G spec, I'm happy with it. As for paint, Im going to let it get marked up, then paint it.
