Posting this a day late due to being exhausted. Overall the day went better than I could have expected, people seemed to be having fun, and only a couple hit calling issues. Tan team: EL HABIB is proud of you, you do not have to worry about the execution, you have held off the infidels from the homeland. In all seriousness. Tan team, you all definitely had more motivation than any other week, everyone got into the fight immediately and held green back, even pushing them into their spawn base TWICE... Green team: The US public will not be pleased. The US Congress will be less pleased. Again, in all seriousness. The majority of the day green seemed unable to make it from the spawn, I know a few squads made it out and got the smaller objectives, but the main objectives were complete failures. Tino, well done on keeping at least a squad motivated and moving. Fatty, the same to you, I know both squads commanded by you two steamrolled anyone in your path. Fantastic game, the turn out was really great.
I'd like to thank UnarmedLuke for unintentionally giving me the opportunity to dual wield LMG's. It was sick.
On a side note, the hill leading up to the barn is a bitch, especially when you have a LMG.

Tno's squad did roll through anything it it's path, It was a fun day, field was nice except when I kept falling and getting stuck by thorns whenever we were deep behind lines. One thing I do feel however is that Tan team was set up to win. In the briefing you guys said they had no objectives and all they had to do was take down any green. I will say green team didn't do the best only completing some of the objectives, but it still seemed that way. Either way it I have no complaints I rather have a good time shooting and joking around with some friends. Overall good experience.

Tan had their own set of objectives corresponding with ALL green based objectives. Neither team was favored to win, nor were they favored in starting position. Green team (overall) simply did not have the motivation that they have had in previous weeks. If anything the objectives were in favor of green due to the nature of tan's playing style in the previous weeks.
Objectives were not publicly given at the briefing for that specific reason. Tan and green were both given rules sheets, team rule sheets, and team primary/secondary objective sheets seperately to avoid any hinting. The objectives given in the briefing were the obvious ones, such as the tan team's simple objective of pushing green from the field. Conversely, obviously Green's objective was to find the tan general as well as El Habib himself.
If we had run a points based game, green would have won due to the number of objectives retrieved, and the number of IED's disarmed (however, the IEDs were never returned so I wouldn't be able to give an exact number). I do know of at least 2 IED's that went off during the game.....but that was tan setting their own off....
In terms of overall day sucess, tan takes this one simply for the fact: A. Green was pushed to their spawn twice B. The General and El Habib went uninterupted in their meeting

And we covered green's capturing of Majid's General would warrant immediate location/identification of El Habib. See we planned it all out PICTURES ARE UP!

They'll be up later. Triggs is busy man First off good game. I read through what you said Triggs however, I do need to say a couple things. I talked to some other green and it was generally agreed upon that once you get in that city, it can be nigh impossible to assault it when a coordinated team is holding it (kudos to you tan for being coordinated). That's all fine and dandy and I don't expect you to run out and rearrange the whole field however we did feel like tan has an easier spawn position for getting into the city. If we had sprinted towards the city from our spawn, we may have been able to reach the West side of the bridge when Tan hit the back side of the city. The only other thing I have to comment on is the choice in where the meeting was being held at the end. From what I heard it was on the top of a hill backed up against the boundary of the field. This is a very smart idea on tan's part but I feel like there should have been some rules on where you could setup the meeting. The place of the meeting made it so tan could hear/see us coming way before we could do anything. They could also out range us due to the height advantage and we couldn't flank them because they were against the boundary line. The limits of airsoft basically were used against us...about the only way I could see us taking that was if we all had smoked the hill and rushed it. I hope you consider some of what I said. These are two concerns that most of the green I talked to shared. Thanks for your time

Had a great time running with tan yesterday, first time ever at the FAH field and I was really impressed, I will defiantly be back. Absolutely no complaints from the game , refs were awesome, objectives were clear, and rules were clear as well. Field is very easy to navigate, and yet there were plenty of ways to bypass the easy trails and pop up where least expected. Overall it was a great experience, thank you for hosting and planning the whole thing.

fragbert, the reason we chose the hill was for strategy yes, but there were also ridges and dense brush you could have used to basically get right up on us without us knowing. And the last half when tan tried to rush to the city, our fast attack team tripped an IED, killing them all, so you actually could have taken the city without opposition.

Oh we did get right up on you haha. However it was too dense to shoot through. Jarhead said he was sitting right next to you guys but couldn't see crap, he could just hear you talking. Another thing about the brush though is it may provide visual cover for us...but it is terrible for getting through quietly. As for the IED; opportunity missed I guess. My concern lies more with both teams actually getting an equal opportunity right off the bat at taking the city though. One more thing before I take off. I would just like to point out that we basically pulled the same thing when you guys assaulted our spawn. We placed the flag on the boundary at the top of the hill by the apple crates. You guys got to see first hand how hard it can be to assault a full team dug in on a hill with no way to flank I don't know what you guys could see from your positions but it would have been a pain in the ass for you to advance since we had greens dotting the hill like mines, plus a number of people totting around sniper rifle setups at the very top.

Well, first I got to thank TJ for fixing my gun on the spot. I had a great time, and learned some new stuff. I appericate green sticking it out, and Flash and his buddy showing me how to anti-fog my goggles with dishsoap. Works perfect. Also got to rechrono and it was shooting just how I wanted it. I was impressed with Tan, but, green just couldn't push forward, not sure why, we just couldn't.
On a higher note, green did a good job communicating, and we all had a great time, and I appericate everyones effort.
Only real negative was losing a mag. and at the end some wise crack guy (Not going to use a name) decided to talk some trash, but hey, it's a sport, they won, I did want to hit him though. So it's whatever.
No hard feelings, good game.

Not only was the meeting on the nigh impossible hill to get to, but if you did make it up the route, you had lots of fire coming your way.

Thanks for your time An official video will be up as soon as I can put it together.....which easily takes a couple days for a 10 minutes video Fragbert, the city is a hard one to get into, we'll be looking at ways to give assaulting forces some sort of balance in cover. As far as starting points, yes tan was a lot closer, and I agree it may be one sided, but US forces are invading (political correctness be damned) the militia's country, so realistically (MILSIM ;D) you would face heavy resistance. The Mortar Complex hill is actually very interesting to attack/defend. Tan team did not choose the meeting location. The location was given to them under ref's orders. Having personally attacked that hill last week, it's a challenge, but it can be done. Ironically, green did use smoke on the hill from what I was told by Cyclone. A bit of a spoiler, but the choices and objectives in this game will make sense at OP: Warlord III later this year ;D

I had a great time! This was the first event that I have been able to attend where I have not C.O.'d. In other words I actually was able to explore. Before the first half ended me and an elite 5 advanced behind enemy lines to retrieve every piece of intel (except that damn bear) and bring it back to within 400 yards of our F.O.B. As the game was coming to an end I was the one who actually used the smoke near the complex. I was within 25' from the meeting when one of my teammates caught one to the carrier from a sniper so I let the smoke go! As the smoke thickened I thought I was clear...I was wrong. The same damn sniper caught me with a single bb to the chest THROUGH THE SMOKE!!! Damn good shot, kudo's to you my friend.
All-in-all I rather enjoy lurking behind enemy lines and retrieving intel but I, as well as everyone else, hates the hill.
