Recently decided to give the HP chamber a whirl, after many problems with the PDI chamber.
Got the HP in the mail yesterday, took it out of the package, and went ahead and assembled it.
But I was looking and comparing the HP hop up to the stock version, and noticed something that made literally no sense at all.
The stock hop up has the one arm, and a small gap where the nubbin goes. This gap is located at the spot where the nubbin goes over top of the bucking...just like in the PDI hop up. Makes sense, right?
Well the HP hop up has no "gap". There is literally no place for the nubbin to go so that its in the spot its supposed to be. That is, the nubbin cannot come into contact with the bucking. Its just one piece of metal. The arm cannot apply pressure to the bucking because there is a thick piece of metal in the way.
How on earth is that HP hop up supposed to work?
Pics:
HP HOP UP:
Notice how there is no way in hell that the arm and nubbin can apply pressure on the bucking. Its a large thing of metal, with no gap.
STOCK HOP UP:
The black hole is the spot where the nubbin goes on, and the black color is the bucking that is inside the chamber.
After talking to a few members on various forums, we came to the obvious conclusion that the hole was not there and that I got a "lemon". I have yet to hear back from Gunner Airsoft (its only been a day so patience ), but am pretty upset.
Just wondering if anyone has had experience with this chamber and how it performs. I really wanted to see how the chamber performed but never got the chance to see it fling some plastic around.
PS: Pics are crappy because I had to get real close to the chamber. That is as good as they are going to get with my camera. Apologies, but hopefully we can keep these pics up here as they are important to the thread.
