I am and was in the same boat as you. I broke my 600 dollar sniper rifle because of not learning the rifle and maintaining it. If you seriously want to be a sniper. I highly suggest learning the rifle. Its not hard, 8 pieces in all. Hour, barrel, cylinder head, piston, spring guides spring, bucking, barrel, and like 10 screws. Its not bad. Im in the same spot as, I just got a new rifle, and I don't want to open it either. Its scary as you don't want to break it.
In conclusion, what im trying to say, that your best bet is to stick with this rifle and upgrade it. It'll be so worth it. Never buy preupgraded G700 and G96s, you are your sniper have to basically love eachother and know eachother. Some tech is doing that upgrade in 20 minutes tops, and doesn't care. When you do it, its like driving your first car, you take great care of it, and don't want anything to happen to it. And when your gun breaks at the field, you know what's going on. Sorry for any spelling errors, i'm on my phone.
