Okie Dokie. So I got some green gas the other day from MilSpecAirsoft.com. I got this in the hope of being able to use my new Umerex HK MP7 which I got at the last Phoenix Tactical and to hopefully have an FPS low enough to use in Eastside Airsoft. So I got it in today and I was so happy! I opened the box to find my first green gas can. About to take off the cap I expected something like this But to my dismay, I got this... What did I do wrong? Is this how they usually come? If so, where can I get a nozzle to use for it? Could I try to venture to Dick's Sporting goods in the fleeting hopes they would have it in good quality? Thanks guys for the help!

;_; This happens ocasionally. The tips on these things are rather fragile and quality control isn't the best. That's a shame, because I believe I am the one who recommended that gun to you. I'd suggest getting a propane adapter anyhow. It's cheap, and it'll save you a lot of money in the long run.

Yes, that is my next investment, but after watching a few videos, I saw that Green Gas has a TAD lower FPS than Propane, so I would only use the Green Gas on the MP7, which has an average FPS of about 360-ish. EDIT: Also, went over to Dunhams in Alan park to by some green gas because that is how much I wanted to shoot the gun. One can was a whopping 15 smackers! I could by two BETTER green gas cans for less than that online!

You know, I decided to do a test on the whole "Propane vs Green Gas" thing at one point. Personally, I didn't notice much of a difference. 3 fps difference at best, and that's shaky because it's hard to get a gas gun to chrono consistently. I'd just suggest propane because of the money saving aspect, but that's just me. Hope you enjoy that Mp7, you lucky bastard. It's my favorite gun :3 I think I remember telling you that though.

No they don't break off.
The first series of green gas cans like those in the picture had a small plastic valve nub that you attached the nozzle to. The new ones, like the one you got have a screw on adapter. It should have been in the package or taped to the side or something similar. If it wasn't then you need to call the business you bought from and explain your problem.
As for the price in-stores. $15 is about right, you pay more at stores than online, it's a given.

Damn it I know who you are now! You sly sly fox! Any way, I do see your point in how it may even be the TINIEST amount of FPS, but 3 FPS could be the difference between playing and not, WITH generous leway. And don't worry, it was not you who made me get the MP7. Blame H&K and Umerex for making an amazing airsoft gun. though, I did get it because lately I have had a fetish with PDW style weapons like the AKS-74u or the P90. And I was also looking for a Holster for said gun, and only a few weeks prior I found MP7 holsters on ASGI. Regardless, this was a great buy!

Oh, I checked the box like 15 times! There is nothiing in there... Well, one more check wouldn't hurt... derp

One thing to note about the H&K MP7, you should only use green gas. The little demons are very picky with the gas they use and the hop-up likes to swell up causing jams because of too much oil in the propane adapter or the impurities in propane. Just stick with green gas and you should be fine. I had the problem happen to me and replacing the hop-up bucking is not all that fun.
I bought one when it first came out and I love the little smg, you will be happy with it.
I have two Pantac Mp7 holsters that I have been using since I got my Mp7 and they are great.
P.S. Umarex did not make the gun. KWA did and it is licensed through Umarex.
Also you could go to M&R surplus outside of Port Huron and buy 1000mL cans of green gas for $9.

Buckings don't swell due to impure propane. Propane DRIES OUT rubber however.
It's also worth noting that green gas also has a large amount of silicon in it. Green gas is known to cause issues with GBBR's due to the abundance of silicon in the mix. It accumulates and gums up the action.

Plus, if you only add a drop or two of oil for every couple of mags you fill up with propane it works just fine. Too much oil in the adapter is a user-interface problem, not a propane problem.
EDIT: Green Gas and Propane are nearly the same thing as it is. Propane is just a lot cheaper.

Well this has been discussed a lot on the KWA a forums and the techs attribute the swelling hop-up to propane use. I don't see why propane would hurt the hop up because the issue is due to over accumulation of silicon oil, but propane does have some additives and impurities that might cause issues. Also it is hard to gauge how much silicon oil you are putting in which may lead to over oiling and there are some really oily green gas brands.Anyway, bestek green gas seems to not have too much oil in it.
I was using propane with the madbull V.2 adapter and after the summer season my Mp7 had the hop-up issue, but I was using both propane and green gas so I don't know which gas caused it.
The swelling hop-up bucking can pretty much happen to everyone, so I would suggest getting a spare bucking at the KWA USA pro-shop and you can also order a black flash hider and barrel extension adapter if you want.
I apologize for giving some bad information in my last post, I was just basing my opinion off of what the techs at KWAUSA recommended.
Anyway, a lot of members on the KWA forum have recommended washing the swelled bucking with some grease lifting dish soap to reduce the swelling if the jamming issue occurs, It works.

which has an average FPS of about 360-ish. You definitely will not be getting an fps of 360ish out of the MP7, not unless you are using .12's or something. I've used that thing in blistering heat and below zero weather and it has stay around a solid 270-290 fps with 0.20g BB's. It shoots around 19-20 BB per sec as well. Dark mags aren't large enough though. I almost wish they had traded off more gas reservoir space for a larger BB capacity.

Sexy yes, but the main reason I love the MP7 is its very short length. The barrel, with foregrip extended, its mere inches from my fingers, giving me the agility of a pistol, but I'm packing a sub-machinegun! I don't know if I would grab one of these for anything more than increase the sex appeal of an already sexy gun. I'll never forget the first time I broke this thing out at Rockville CQB in Rockville, MD and everyone though it was one of those cute little electric ones. Boy were they in for a surprise!
