Although I have only played in one major milsim event, Eastern Fire, which was one of the most fun I have ever had playing airsoft, I was thinking about how could we as airsofters make objectives more interesting.
We all know the classic capture/ hold the base, capture/hold the info, capture some opfor and free the hostage. I am in no way a military expert but it seems to me that in many military operations there mission objectives are not like this. I feel like if objectives were more interactive. It would keep players interested throughout the game and give the game a more real feel.
Here are some I thought off.
1: They have to talk to stand in civilians to get info on future objectives.
2: Supplies are dropped somewhere and a structure needs to be constructed.
3: Carry things from one side of the field to another.
4: A group of players are somewhere in the field without comms and have to be found by a rescue force.
These are just a few examples I though of off the top of my head.
Tell me if you like them and/or share your own.

I think #4 could be pretty workable.

All of the things you listed are things we have written into OP: Fueling the Fire. Also they are all things I have seen at many milsims.

#1, #2, & #3 have all been done before at previous MILSIM games.
#4 though I'd like to see. Only problem is that it will only really work well on a larger field.

Pantecea de Mantecea (or the correct way of spelling that) had 1 through 3, at least for the Cartel. It was great fun, not to mention each team in that MilSim had certain key "targets" to destroy, that consisted shooting the correct target out of 3 that hung over the opposing side's base.

I know they have probably have been used before its just I have not been to a great deal of milsim games. I was just curious to see what kind of objectives others could come up with and hopefully this thread could become useful to future milsim hosts. mopedman (Fighting Tacos) Yeah I am super exited for OP:FTF and am already on the roster.

I had an excellent time at that op. The objectives made it quite a bit more fun. The only problem is the Cartel side got pretty much destroyed all day! I honeslty cannot wait for hellfish to put on another one this summer.. Atleast if that is still what they have planned. This year though the Cartel side will be on top:)
