Gunny, sorry about your luck. We do a game on the East Side just for you and you can't even show up and watch.. I know! Well trust me I was soo sick yesterday that even if I didn't have the prep course to take I probably would have gotten on the field and then about 5 minutes later I would have been puking my guts out as I did all day yesterday.

As C.O. of the Rangers, I offer my compliments to all who gutted out the day in its entirety.
KEY PLAYERS Kazz Originally placed on Bravo as one of only two team medics, Kazz took the role of our team's only medic when Kilroy (Bravo leader) and Sev (the other medic) fell off the map. Kazz was everywhere running from squad to squad all over the field to keep our team up and moving. Kazz was key in completing our first recon objective and gathered just under 20 kills in the first ten minutes of the final objective. Kazz acted as the most effective medic that I have ever seen at any event.
Spaz X.O. and Alpha leader, Spaz showed the extraordinary leadership I expect out of every member of Cry Havoc. Spaz's amazing micro tactics and decisive action made Alpha Squad arguably our most effective resource.
Charlie Every individual in Charlie squad deserves two mentions. See below for more commentary on this exceptional squad.
Smokesnipe The first guy I have ever seen attempt to both get a throwing lightsaber kill and a full charge knife-to-knife kill. Fun stuff, man.
SQUADS Alpha Squad Effectively led by X.O. Spaz. Excellent job acting as our primary recon squad. This squad was sent on some long walks to reach ambush points and was very successful completing objectives while suffering minimal casualties.
Bravo Squad Probably our weakest squad as far as organization goes, I ended up having most of Bravo absorbed into Alpha and Delta after Bravo squad leader Kilroy and Alpha medic Sev went off to engage in random skirmishes. Excellent job by all Bravo squad members adjusting quickly and lining up with your new squads.
Charlie Squad Charlie squad was extremely reliable all day. As a team of five that never lost anybody to the weather and never needed reinforcements, this squad led the Rangers into the bus base for the first time. Excellent job to all members of Charlie squad for taking on objectives without hesitation or fear.
Delta Squad This was my squad of cannon fodder. Although probably the squad with the least amount of experience, Delts was extremely effective in keeping enemy attention, allowing Alpha and Charlie to sneak around and attack enemies mostly from the back. Excellent job by all members of Delta.
CARVIN'S COMMENTARY Not knowing the field too well, I was not surprised to have a bit of a rough start. After getting a better idea of the field, we were able to find a way to take the bus base. However, the maneuver took about an hour and left us with less than 10 defenders against roughly 90 enemies from all sides. Needless to say, our focus quickly turned to side objectives until the other teams wore down a bit.
The first key to the day was energy. Keeping high moral and excitement meant acknowledging success on the field and making clear what we were trying to accomplish. We started with 21 players and ended with 20, losing only one due to a broken weapon.
The second key was organization. With limited numbers, pushing up the middle or from any single direction as a full force would have been suicide. We found that in our first push to the bus base. In maintaining adequate organization, good communication is essential. Alpha, Charlie and Delta successfully worked together without even seeing one another for many of our team's collaborative attacks.
Excellent job to all Army Rangers.
Special thanks to Tino and Munster for once again showing the community how a milsim should be run. Clear, creative objectives and guaranteed high-octane play makes Airsoft of Kalamazoo/Airsoft of Michigan the only organization I will ever airsoft with.

I had a great time, as well as all of my friends who attended. We were on the grunt team, and a few hours in, two of our AEGS broke-down. We had nothing left but spring pistols and managed to rake in a couple kills with them. We had a great time and would like to thank Tino and everyone who helped put this great event together.

This was my first event attended and loved it! I had such a great time I had to come right home and sign up for Three Rivers. My friend Smalls and I (Nelly) played on the Rangers and had an awesome C.O. (Carvin). Along with all the Rangers we had great team work. Look forward to Three Rivers and hope to see you all there!

Hey Carvin, you have that last post a bit wrong. Sev and I didnt fall off the map and go engage in random skirmishes. You told us to go with Spaz and his group when we were attacking the city. We split off so we could flank and take out the guys that were going into the city to reinforce it which allowed spaz to go through. Then, from there, Sev, trixster, and myself captured every other objective given to us except CIA 14. So I dont think its fair to say we were engaging in random skirmishes.

Great game, wish I could have stayed longer but my gun broke . Had fun for the first few hours I was there and every one seemed to be working together good at least for my team (grunts). I Thought that the three teams was pretty cool. It kept the intensity high and allowed for plenty of shooting! Over all good just hope my gun gets working before April

Objective 1: 4 Pictures of Russian Base. Completed by Kazz, myself and Wingman. Objective 2: Ambush Completed by Alpha and Bravo (my apologies for this one, you and Sev were key here) Objective 3: 8 Pictures of Village Vans Completed by Charlie with Alpha and Delta Objective 4: Move Respawn Completed by Charlie and Delta with Alpha and Kilroy's 3-man squad defending Objective 5: Find Classified Folders Completed by Kazz and Wingman I didn't mean to put you down, Kilroy, you were excellent in combat. However, we cannot have one of only two medics on a squad of only three. Sev was in dissent from the beginning and hesitant to follow commands while the rest of the squads stuck with orders and eventually captured the bus base against all odds.

@ Gimpalong: Thank you very much for the comment. I was the guy with the FAMAS and I had several new people to the sport. So I was just trying to work with what we had, even though it was tough.
P.S. Does anyone have pictures?

It was the most fun iv had playing airsoft ever. The only con I could think of was the leadership and organization of the grunts. We were all over the place and our squads broke down in about an hour. I'm just kind mad i had to leave about an hour early because my friends battery died. I I will be attending three rivers for sure. There is a video on youtube of the game. Thanks Tino and Kzoo

The only con I could think of was the leadership and organization of the grunts. We were all over the place and our squads broke down in about an hour. I'd attribute this back to communication. As mopedman said, it was pretty much us on 4 still utilizing comms near the end of the game, with a few others. As people were forced back to respawn, those without radios were left in the dark as to the location of their squad. I think its safe to say that our only well-executed attack, when we took the Grunt's base, was an example of how well we could work together with proper comms. Granted, I am fairly new to this, but one should be expected to at least be equipped with a radio if they wish to do a milsim. It's pretty essential to doing anything effectively. Considering the fact that most people have a few hundred at a minimum into their kit, how much is an extra $20 for radios? I'm surprised more events do not make them mandatory.
