Hi everyone. Just a quick AAR on the Desolation event held by Armory Airsoft and Chaos Paintball to cover things that were fun, things that weren't so fun, and things that we could improve on. Firstly, I had a blast, but it is to be expected from events held here, so no surprise there. ;D Nice communications, nice teamwork, and nice squad assignments/behavior. (This is, of course, from my perspective at the game; feel free to add anything if you experienced differently.) However, the weather was a bit nippy! Not much can be done to fix it besides wearing more layers of clothing, or buying hand/toe warmers. I didn't really have any problems with ammo. However, I recall one of my fellow members in the Recon team (green) experiencing difficulties with his hi-cap, and ran out of BBs with his mid-caps. This was probably due to the green team's amazing holding of the sandbag bunker, and the tan team's amazing offensive onto it. All in all: Things that went well: Comms, teamwork, behavior. Things that could be improved: Nothing much, other than my excessive use of Canto's charger (I've got one shipping as we speak, so no worries next time) and the 3-man Recon team that went for a nice hike in the forest after the game ended. Little did we know that the game had ended. PS. I fixed my mag Canto. I just had to push a plastic piece that slid under another plastic piece away from the second plastic piece with a screwdriver. God I need to buy myself some metal mags.

I had a blast playing. It just sucks that we were late and my brother's Ak gearbox was not working and we couldn't fix it. Other than that it was awesome. I got some pretty good sniper kills, and even used my MP7 for a while.
Thank you Glass for helping my brother out with his gearbox and letting him borrow a gun so he could play the first round and get some airsofting in..

This event was one of the most well run and organized games in quite some time. There was almost no cheating of any kind from what I seen. Well done Armory Airsoft and everyone else for that matter!
Green team may have gotten wrecked the first half, but we gave it right back after lunch, and from what I heard we almost came back. Good shooting with all you green guys, and it was fun fighting ya tan!
Again, well done AA for a great game. Mobbro, good job as the CO. We all thought you were very good. Timm, you ODA guys, and Tex- good seeing yall as always.
Lookin forward to the next one.

I'm only seeing 35 images here. You said you shot over 500 and I know you had to cut a lot. But did your computer trouble force you to cut these down into several instalments?

They're still uploading... I cut it down to about 70 images... the rest should be viewable in a few minutes.
As Tex has done as well, if you would like a full-resolution photo just let me know which one and I'll send you the original hi-res photo.
And you should get a facebook. Because all the cool people are on there.
